MasukChapter 33
Jenna's POV
Chris' face was worth watching. I reveled at the sight of his horrified expression as Kalen narrated the story I fabricated for him to share with his Alpha and Henry's Alpha.
He listened quietly, sweat on his forehead, as his gaze sat affixed on Henry's body. He didn't say a word when the Night Shade's Alpha howled and kicked Henry's body.
"This bastård! You should've left him alive, Kalen. He was my target. How dare he set his eyes on my pack's pup." He kicked him again, causing Chris to look away in shame.
"Alpha Chris!" NightShade's Alpha called out his name hatefully. "Your senior doctor was up to such a heinous crime. How could you not be aware?"
"Alpha Shane, I honestly didn't know. Do you think I would have left him alive if I did?" Chris wiped a hand on his forehead. "We have zero tolerance for p pëdophiles. I've executed several in the past. I would have done the same to him, no matter the fact he was my pack's senior doctor."
Night Shade's Alpha sneered spitefully as though he didn't believe a word Chris said. Then his eyes jumped to me and they softened.
"If it wasn't for you Luna Jenna, we would've never discovered the truth. Thanks for exposing this monster. NightShade Pack will always be grateful to you for saving its pup from this monster. Please accept my gratitude." He dipped his head slightly.
"Alpha Shane," Chris butted in with a howl. "I hope you know how unfaithful she is. There's no need for you to express any kind of gratitude to her. This woman is a whøre."
My eyes hardened. Behind him I saw my husband stiffening in anger. Although he accompanied the two Alpha to observe this crime scene, he didn't participate in the investigation. He said he would prefer to be a spectator and watch how the two Alphas settle this matter among themselves.
Perhaps Chris had forgotten that fact.
"Just because she saved a young pup from doom, it doesn't erase her own crimes she committed towards my pack and me."
"I'm sorry to say this, Alpha Chris, but I don't give two shits about what happened between you two in your personal lives. Whether she cheated or not is your personal matter. As an alpha of a pack whose pup she saved and has helped many times in the past, Luna Jenna is still very much respected as before." Shane's words made Chris' jaw drop.
He wasn't able to speak again after that. Alpha Shane excused himself and turned to Brienne to take her statement. That left me with Chris alone.
I took a step ahead to walk away when he closed his fingers around my wrist and yanked me bitterly. I hit his chest hard.
"You really think you can get away after this, huh!" He seethed.
I eyed Jace and Pluto to stay where they were. Chris had seriously overlooked the fact that we weren't alone. The Alpha king was there, watching over us like a dangerous entity without blinking his eyes.
But Chris probably thought he had the right to manhandle me because we were each Ex.
"I know you framed him and got him killed!" He squeezed my arm a little and I gritted my teeth, stopping myself from wincing. If I had done it, Chris would have been a dead corpse beside his doctor.
"You're so clever, Chris. I wish you used your brains to find the corruption taking place inside your pack. That way you would have been stronger than Alpha Shane. But but but, after what your senior doctor did, your worth is going to hit the ground. All the Alphas will reprimand you." I grinned in his face.
He grumbled, "It was I who discarded you. Why target my senior doctor? He wasn't the one who rejected you."
"But he encouraged you." I glared at him as I wriggled my hand out of his hold. "I heard your conversations with him, Chris. That day I fainted and was resting in that room, I heard you talk to him outside my room. You both planned my doom together."
"He was only following his Alpha."
"And I followed my heart." I shrugged to provoke him.
"You'll regret this, Jenna. I swear you will."
I laughed at his empty threat as I observed Jace's face. My husband was ready to pound onto him and finish him.
Since I have the strongest wolf of the strong as my husband, no harm can get to me.
"Save your empty threats, Chris. I might bring you on your knees before you can make me regret anything."
"You..."
"Alpha Chris, you have some nerve if you're daring to hurt your ex in front of me." Jace strode towards us while running his hand through his hair.
I gulped at that action and bit back a smile.
'You couldn't stay back there and watch me kick his head verbally, could you?' I raised an eye at him.
'I'm supposed to be your hero husband. Shame on me if I only stand there and watch. Heroes don't just watch. And a husband who loves and respects his wife will never tolerate the wife's Ex bullying her in front of him.' I chuckled.
"Y-your Highness, it's not what you think it is. I was just talking to Jenna." Chris was utterly horrified. Not to mention he appeared so small in front of Jace.
"Your definition of ‘talk’ is quite harsh, I must say. It is the definition of bullying in my vocabulary." Chris went pale. "You're bullying a woman in front of me. I can strip you off your title for doing that. Do you know that?" Hearing that Chris immediately sat on his knees.
"Y-your Highness, I apologize if it came off as bullying but trust me, I was only talking."
"Is that how he always talked to you, Luna Jenna?" Jace asked me.
"T-tell your Highness, Jenna. Tell him how wonderful of a husband I had been to you." I stared at him in disbelief. He was forcing me to praise him.
"Do you really think she would side with you after what you did to her?" Chris looked like he might faint.
"Your Majesty, please don't worry about me. Chris wasn't bullying me. It's just that... That is his style." I concluded.
Chris didn't answer, knowing that he was in a tight spot.
'He looks so weak and pathetic. I really want to reject him as the Alpha and appoint someone else in his place.' Jace said on the link.
'Let it be. I have a perfect plan to humiliate him for what he did.'
'Yeah.' Jace huffed out before asking Chris to stand up.

Chapter 58 Jace's POV We were silent for a long time. Neither of us spoke. Suddenly Jenna lifted her face and eyes me innocently."What?" I chuckled. She nodded in no, "You burned Liza alive."My face stilled. I pulled her closer and joined our foreheads, "I had to. She was the bane of our family."I kissed her."Also," I added. "She made me doubt my wife's intentions. I had to punish her."At that, she hugged me tighter and rested her face on my shoulder. She was sitting straddling my waist while I held her like my toddler baby.My back had healed. Hence, I was able to sit this way.The doctors had been worried because the wound wasn't healing in my state of unconsciousness. That's the reason why they refused to give any answer. But the second I woke up, the wound healed, and all the residue of wolfsbane and silver was eliminated by my immune system."What happened to Chris and that lady?" I suddenly asked as I remembered those two."Both dead. And that lady was Doctor Henry's daug
Chapter 57Jenna's POV 'Thanks, bro. Head towards the Rogues' territory with your team. I'll meet you there.''Roger that!''Okay.'We broke the link. I sucked a sharp breath as I focused on the road ahead. If I drive at high speed, I'll get there in twenty minutes.Jenna, hold on for a while, love. Your husband is coming to get you.(Twenty minutes later)"Jace, finally you're here." Oakley came running towards my car as I applied brakes."Did you find her location?" I was not even fully out of the car."Yes, and already stationed our soldiers around the area." Oakley said, sending a wave of relief through me."Thank, goddess.""Don't worry, Jace. The situation is already in our control." Oakley flashed a shark grin and my eyebrows cocked in confusion. "Chris's soldiers look novice. They are not attentive at all, let alone alert.""I think he brought untrained wolves here. And I must add that his Beta and Gamma are not here either."I acknowledged with a nod, "He's probably doing it
Chapter 56Jenna's POV Jace has never touched her before. He hadn't done it this time either. It's that bìtch who always found ways to go near him.'There's no point in giving yourself false hope, Jenna. Jace isn't the man we thought he was. Accept it.' Gianna said.A feeling of disappointment rose over me. No! My wolf is not right here. She's hurt from Jace's wolf's words, and rest is the impact of wolfsbane.Jace loves us.'You really think that? Then tell me, why didn't he come after us when we left?'he He might have a reason.'No,' Gianna grunted weakly. 'It's because he was bewitched by his mistress's beauty and he chose her instead.'That's not true. I was breathless in anger. Gianna's words struck a chord that it shouldn't have.'I'll prove it to you that Jace still only loves us.'Having that said, I lowered my guard. I had blocked out everyone and their feelings to avoid getting caught. However, as I lowered my guard, I could feel my family's emotions— Jace's first. He was
Chapter 55Jenna's POVI regained my senses at the feeling of stabbing spasms stretching throughout my body. My eyelids were heavy and so I couldn't drag them open. But my other senses were working well.I could hear and smell and feel my surroundings. The air was crackling with the chirping of thousands of crickets, meaning that I was most likely in a forest area; or where there were a lot of trees.I dragged in a deep breath to catch scents, and realized that wood was burning somewhere. Then I heard the noise of fire crackling. A bonfire. I subtly rubbed my hand on the ground and sensed the coarse texture. Soil. All the elements directed to one point, I was in a forest. My eyes felt better now. I was about to open them when, "Hadn't she woken up yet?" A familiar voice asked."No, Alpha Chris. After she turned into her human form while fainting, she's been just like that." Someone said,It wasn't Cleo's voice. Hmm. Perhaps Chris flew all the way to Silent Hills city with a small team
Chapter 54Jace's POV "Let this be a lesson to all those who think they can fool the Alpha King just because I trust them." I announced as I paced around with a flaming torch in my hand. Behind me a pyre was built in the middle of the city for people to watch. On it Liza was tied to a pole. She was drenched with petrol and shaking. Her eyes were red. She begged me to let her go, that she was honestly apologetic. That she acknowledged her blunder and would go away. "My trust has never been a weakness. My willingness to believe in those who stand beside me does not make me blind, nor does my kindness make me a fool. I give people my trust because I choose to see the good in them. Because I consider them my previous ones. But the moment that trust is betrayed, do not mistake my silence for ignorance. And don't ever think that you can outsmart me."I came to a halt. The flames were crackling beside my face. It was night now, the sky was dark with no stars. There were light poles around
