When Sophia’s mother, Martha, finished mowing the lawn in front of her house, she stepped inside the living room and discovered that her daughter’s friend, Sandra, was still waiting for her classmate. She frowned and called out, “Sophia, what are you still doing inside? Sandra is still waiting for you.”  She turned around and said to Sandra, “I wonder why she is taking long.” “Sophia, you guys will be late,” Martha shouted. “Okay, mum. I will join you guys in a moment,” Sophia said from inside her room.Sophia and Sandra had just finished high school and were about to go to the graduation party at their school, King’s High School. They had waited for a long time to have their last party as high school students. They were so enthusiastic about it. “Ready, ready! How do I look, Sandra?” Sophia said beaming with a smile as she emerged in a pink ball

“Larry! What are you saying? Don't tell me that you are planning to date that girl. She has just a few days or weeks to live. You are not even a university graduate yet.” Caleb was so angry with Larry with the thought of dating Sophia. He only wanted him to be there for her during her last moment. Larry couldn't lie about his feelings for Sophia. It was a love that emanated from a true friendship. He told himself that he would stand by Sophia till the end. Larry's parents didn't object to his idea of dating Sophia because her stay at their place was full of joyful memories—especially her last visit on her birthday. It was a glorious occasion. Sandra danced and joined Sophia to sing. Both girls entertained everyone that was in attendance.Larry was a very calm and calculative young man and full of humor. At first glance, most people would think he was very unserious. But he knew better and he knew how to get what he wanted out of life.He knew t

Sophia and Larry drove off to the bus stop, They arrived a little late, on getting there the first bus has left and they had to wait for the next one. It was a long wait but they didn't feel it much because they had to spend that time getting to know each other well. They talked about so many things, it was shocking to Sophia that Larry Also loves reading books. She has always seen him as a spirited fellow who is so indifferent about books, he hardly visits the library at high school, sometimes she wonders how he managed to excel and even got admission into Berkeley University. Larry had to let the cat out of the bag when she persisted to know how much he reads. Larry told her that he belongs to the category of people that don't need to read long to understand, all he needs, Is to stay in class and then read at night. He made Sophia understand the need for everyone to understand how they assimilate what is being taught or what they read because this helps in saving them a lot

Larry was waiting at the Student's park, a place with a beautiful garden where most of the male students meet with their female friends because they can't enter the female hostel and vise versa. He was seated under the oak tree enjoying the cool breeze of the evening waiting patiently for Sophia. He had called Sophia over the phone and informed her of his waiting, meanwhile, Sophia was doing her laundry and promised to join him as soon as she finishes. Larry took a book with him because he was sure of having a long wait knowing how females can be with their preparation. He was reading 'The Price of a Jewel' it was part of the novels recommended for them in their first year. It was an interesting Novel, he had once told his roommate James how he enjoyed reading the book. He was so engrossed in the book when Sophia showed up and she decided to play a little prank on him, she tiptoed and slowly walked towards where he was seated and covered his face with her two palms. He was shocked a

Larry has finished his preparation to set out for their first training after the registration. He couldn't contain his joy, he was so eager to engage his skills, it's been like ages to him not have entered the field to play since he got to Berkeley. James can see the excitement on his face from the very moment he woke up. He knew something must be behind it. When he inquired and Larry told him about his training, he requested that he will like to go with him, he wants to be sure if non-participant can come along. Larry told him that non-participant can only come in the second stage, the first stage was just for the participants, and the first level of selection. Janes felt bad because he had always wanted to watch Larry play because of the way they argued during the period Larry was about registering for the training. He wanted to make fun of Larry by teasing him in the field. He made up his mind to be at that second stage since he can't attend this first stage. Larry got to the sch
