Jordan POV I stare at Cassidy in shock as she screams. This is the first time I’ve seen her feel anything properly. I knew she was bottling up her emotions, but this was next level. She screams again as she drops to the floor. I rush over, reaching my hand out to her to try to calm her down before she pushes me away. I can hear someone come running down the hall as she continues to scream and cry. Samuels enters the room and looks at her on the ground, me kneeling beside her. He mind-links me. “What’s going on?” concern crossing his face as she screams again. “She’s breaking down. One second we were talking on the bed and the next second she got all angry, started pacing and then she dropped to the floor screaming and crying. I think she’s finally letting herself feel.” I reply to him. He relaxes visibly knowing I didn’t harm her. “I’ll grab her some water for when she calms down again.” He replies and heads back down the hall

Alpha Issac was listing off the names of different packs he thought I originally came from but none of them sounded familiar to me. I was an infant when we joined the Westford Pack. Our pack was situated almost dead centre of the state. There were packs every way we turned. There was only once road that followed the boarders of every pack and we called that the safe zone. When on that road you were untouchable. My parents must have travelled on that road to get here but from which direction they came was a mystery.“What about Forest Grove Pack?” Alpha Issac says, staring down at the map on his desk.“Nope,” I reply. Another unknown checked off the list.“Evertree?” Jordan asks, reading from a list. I shake my head before resting it on my fist propped up on the side of the leather chair.“Beaufort Pack?” Alpha Issac guesses, uncertainty crossing his face as he looks up at me.“Afraid not.”

At lunch everyone kept staring at Cass and I could tell it was making her uncomfortable. We ate outside the cafeteria to reduce the number of eyes on her, but I could still hear the chatter from inside. Everyone trying to ask me 1000 questions through the mind-link. I tried my best to tune them all out, but it was hard when 200 people are trying to talk to you all at once. “Does she put out?” I hear a voice flitting through my head. “I heard she lives with you, is that true?” another asks. “Vanessa told me she’s your pet, but you have to pretend she’s your mate,” comes another. “Have you seen her naked?” I feel the rage boiling up inside of me as more and more questions invade my brain. “What’s it like f**king a human?” I slammed my fists down on the picnic table, my lunch bouncing at the impact. Cassidy POVI gave up kicking and screaming in the boot after an hour. It was clear nobody was going to let me out anytime soon. I laid here trapped and closed my eyes. Koray has basically just kidnapped me, and we definitely weren’t going back home. Surely, he would let me out when we arrived, wherever that was. The drive went on for hours and I ended up falling asleep.I woke up and we had stopped, I heard growls coming from outside and Koray was talking with another man. I hear them approach the back of the car and unlock the boot. I was going to escape one way or another. The door to the boot lifts slightly and I slide my feet under me ready to jump out. Koray lifts the boot open completely and I leap at him, tackling him to the ground. He falls back catching me and I fight him to get off before I manage to get to my feet, and I make a break for it spotting the forest tree line in front of me.“Get her!” a man’s voice

We need to get out of here. He can’t make us shift. I look around the cage for anything that can break the lock. I spot a sharp rock just outside the back of the cage and I crawl over and reach my hand through the bars but it’s just out of reach.“What are you doing?” Drew asks me.“I need to get that rock. There’s no way in hell I’m staying here another night.”“Here take this!” Seb throws a stick at the cage and it makes a noise as it hits the bars. We all go silent and look at the stairwell, praying the man didn’t hear.After a minute I rush over and grab the stick before crawling back and attempting to move the rock closer with the stick. The stick is just long enough to nudge it towards me a tiny bit. I reach out my arm again trying to grab it.
