“Are you sure that we can hit a jackpot here, Chris?” Tara asked Chris who was sitting in the driver’s seat and Clark with hands on the steering wheel, “There’s a lot of people inside this hotel and today was a VIP event! How did you get a ticket to fill the entrance for us?” she added. Both of us are seating in the backseat.  I was also waiting for Chris to answer since I think about on asking him but Tara already did for me. The car we are riding was already parked in front of this huge hotel. I can’t see it’s name because it maybe was placed on the top part.  “Someone offered me a free VIP tickets,” Chris confidently said and looked at us from the back, “So I did not hesitate and accept his offer!” he exclaimed. My brows knitted while looking at him. “Someone? Are you sure that we are safe if we do the stealing inside this hotel? T

I stayed in the City for three days, and it’s been four days since I was back in Gale. When I was at my mother’s, I forgot about being a thief. I engraved being the only daughter of a late fearless soldier and an heiress of the legendary aerospace engineer.  I was thinking about what my mother has said about telling my gang the truth. It’s a form of betrayal keeping my identity from them. I can risk our friendship, but it’s not yet the time for doing it. Other than that, it’s been a week since that incident happened when someone almost hooks me from stealing. My heart was raging from nervousness when I remembered the man’s face again. I shook my head and tried to pull those thoughts out of my head. But it’s already favorable on my side. I absconded from that room when I was almost seized and pressured the gang to abandon the hotel. I was relieved that they do so without any

It’s been two days. I’m here inside our hideout, sitting in front of the table while facing a laptop.   “This is the first time you’ve borrowed a laptop, GD. Where are you going to use that? ” Tara muttered behind me and felt her sitting next to me.    I did not mind looking in her direction and opened the chrome; then, I let my fingers press the letters on the keyboard before the screen flashed someone’s information.    “Zygo Fiernan?” Tara asked when her eyes landed on the laptop as I remained my face straight to the front, “You know him?” I shrugged while scrolling on the man’s profile, “Why are you having an interest in him then?”    My hands stopped. I looked at Chris and Clark playing chess to our right before turning it over to Tara.    “Can’t I just stalk him without having an interest?”    She raised her right brow, shooting

“Good morning, sweetheart.”  A familiar voice greeted me when I opened my eyes. I looked for my mother. She was standing in front of the enormous window and had just opened the closed cream-colored curtain.  “How long have you been here?” I asked, still lying on the bed.  “Can you hear your voice, sweetheart? You sound strained. How much did you spend drinking in a pub?” she asked, walking in my direction.  “I just drank eight glasses of Roberta, mom. I’m not that intoxicated with alcohol,” I groaned when I tried to sit up from lying. My head hurt, and my back was in pain.  “Then, do you know who brings you here?” I stared at my mother, who was walking towards me. She sat down next to me and swiftly stroked my hair. I tried to remember what happened

“There will be a big auction at Tranquil that will happen tonight,” Chris said. We are inside the hideout, discussing our next move.    I had lunch yesterday with that Zygo, and it did not go well. He had a lot of questions, but I remained silent the whole time while I was with him. I ignored his chatter.   I did not assume that a tycoon like him was that kind of person. His mouth is more feminine than mine.    “Dhara, are you listening?” I was startled by Clark’s question, but I tried to hide it.    “Uh, yes. Go ahead.”   “What kind of auction, Chris?” Tara asked; she’s beside me, firmly staring at Chris.    “A jewelry and antique auction,” Chris answered.   “Is it safe?” Clark asked with an unwelded voice.   “We won’t know if we won’t try.”   “What are you thinking, Chris!
