The next morning, I wake up to an empty bed which I found quite surprising. The memory of last night came flashing through my mind and I bursted out chuckling at my cringe-self for calling Liam, daddy. Thank God, he wasn't totally creeped out by it or else, Alisha and I were going to have a serious talk the next time she came over. I got out of bed and headed for a quick shower. I got dressed in a casual shorts and a t-shirt before headed downstairs. It was only eight in the morning, so as I expected, the house wasn't too lively. I made my way to the kitchen first thing, thinking of getting a quick snack right before our regular breakfast meal as I would usually do. "Morning." I stumbled two steps back from the doorway, seeing Giovanna sitting at the kitchen island. Sh

The car door was slammed shut from my side and my body jolted in reflection. I watched attentively as Travis made his way around the vehicle and stood next to the other guy, exchanging a few words before he hopped in the passenger seat. The guy soon followed him as he slid into the driver's seat. Travis looked over at him and gave him a signal with his hand which he automatically understood and kicked off the engine. The car sped down the main street, making its way smoothly through the traffic before it turned a corner. Glancing out my window, I noticed three police cars on the opposite side of the road. My eyes tracked the black vehicles before they took our previous parking spot and parked right across the street from the café.I blinked twice and glanced over at the guys.

It felt like forever since the last time I saw everyone. I had, for the most part of the past couple of day days, been locked up in my room. So much time lost to inactivity. So much of my day-to-day routine looked and felt exactly the same. Every morning, I'd get up to have breakfast. A maid or Kitty sometime would bring in the food and tend to overstay their welcome. But I didn't mind it. Clearly, they must have felt sorry for me. I didn't talk much to anyone and neither did anyone was allowed to talk to me. The securities guarding front of my room had been doubled. Thanks to my ex-husband. The most I could do was going for a walk once a day in the garden and that was about it.Convinced by nearly everyone that what Liam was doing was all in my best interest and for my own safety, I couldn't agree less. With a lot more free time in hands, and much less space to move around, I bec

Chanel. Prada. Balenciaga.I never knew how overpriced a piece of clothing could be until I went into all these luxury fashion stores and did the shopping myself. It's probably one of the reasons why I hated shopping so much. The numbers. The bills. The payments, and the long duration of time it took for you to find a piece that you really liked and worth the cost.So far, I had bought nothing but a cup of hot chocolate from Starbuck since we got to the mall."Now, that is cute." Kitty said as we walked pass one of the small boutiques around the corner, "That is cute too. We should go try them on.""Kitty, I think you have more than enough dresses for one party." I muttered.

It was at the garden of the mansion where I found myself most at peace. Quite and alone. With my only companions being the plants and the trees, I could really use some time in private and in silence amidst the noisy crowd inside. My dress was making it impossible to breath. Either that or I was experiencing another episode of a panic attack."How far along are you?"As I slowly turned around, my eyebrows drew down in confusion. I didn't expect anyone to be out here, especially a few minute right before the party started. When I didn't answer to the old lady but rather staring into her kind face blankly, she lightly smiled at me."There aren't many reasons as t
