“Hej, hon.” Marie answered as she walked into the hallway to enter her classroom. You read my message?” There was a pause on the other line. The prince's assistant opened the door and motioned for him to hear the news. Prince Mharl became anxious as soon as he heard who had arrived at that hour. Marie waited for the answer on her phone. “Hon, what’s wrong?" She heard whispers and the sound of walking. “I am sorry, darling. I have to leave because something came up. Call me later.” The prince hurried to his room and left his phone on the bed. Then he went to the ground floor. “Prince Mharl, come here.” His mother, the queen called him when he approached the drawing room in the ground floor. “Princess Sharl is here and her parents, the queen.” The prince turned right and made a bow to the queen and the princess. “Glad that you visit here.” He said as he was startled a bit by the visit. “This is a surprise. You did not tell me that today is what you mean in your last message.” Q

“I'm not sure what to do, Lord.” Marie stooped as she prayed. While she looked up at the facade of the school from her terrace on the second floor, she hugged her knees. After the breakup, she didn't mingle with her colleagues; it was obvious they avoided her as well. It wasn't known what she would do next. It was the prince who decided to finish everything for the sake of his family. Even though something had happened, Marie was able to get up, eat her food, and communicate with her family. She was able to see the live coverage in both the castle and Malacañang early this morning. “They cry for justice, Father. Protesters from my country said something rude to the highnesses and other Filipinos here. Though I am still safe but now experiencing something strange treatment. Danish protesters, too, wanted me to leave. Thank you to the royal police, officers, and guards here.” Marie’s silently prayed while still looking at the entrance to the school near the gate. The gate was hidden b

After 1 month's notice, Marie hand-in the letter of resignation to the principal. She was expected to do it since it was the royal executive who informed her privately of the necessary action she needed to do. She was ready, finally to go home, after packing everything. Prior to that, she paid for cargo for the heavy stuff she bought for her family, friends, and relatives. Five times she paid for the package for the family in the Philippines and she was happy that some of the Danish things such as curtains, blankets, pillows, and paintings were already displayed. On the other hand, the kitchen wares were kept in their newly designed kitchen cabinet Danish style for special occasions. “I am ready Sir,” Marie answered her call while walking toward the church. She paused and continued the conversation. Five cars from the royal highnesses’ royal guards and officers watched her in going to her needed place and appointments for one week in preparation for her homecoming. She was scheduled

Marie was offered by her former school, Ramon Magsaysay National High School to return and this time to be the next principal of the school. She submitted her CV to at least five schools, including De La Salle University where she finished her undergraduate course, Ateneo University, the University of the Philippines, and others. It was Friday morning of November 2001 at their terrace while she was eating the hot cake prepared by Le, she received several calls from all schools to she applied. Prince Mharl’s face still lingered in her thoughts as she composed her new poem about coming home. “Speaking. Yes, I am. It’s my honor to be interviewed by your good office, Sir. I’ll be there on Tuesday. May I ask if I have to bring something?” She asked while hearing another call. The other line from Ateneo ended a few minutes and she answered the second call. “Yes, speaking. This is Ms. Dusaran. Thank you. I will come on Monday.” Marie smiled as the University of the Philippines in charge o

Having been sleepless for almost a week, the prince was still weighing the castle's suggestion. He worked, but his thoughts were elsewhere. Taking a break, he called his best friend and his friends. Although they did not show their grief in public, the king and queen were grieving. The queen was affected the most since her brother and his family were involved. The accusation of the prince was hanged and unsolved while the prince did not consent to the suggestion of the palace that would solve all the conflicts. During this time, he escaped from the guards, staff, and officers and proceeded to a secret party held by one of his classmates. He forgot everything and tried to relax joining everyone at the party. At exactly 11:00 in the evening one hour and a half, after he went out from the palace through the back door, he drove himself back to the castle. “It seems no one is awake. Nobody is on the way. When I reached the castle, I still hide the car in the mini garage at the back gate.
