Rinc's Coffee
The sun had barely taken its place in the morning sky when Rinc poured a cup of coffee. The warmth hit his tongue as he sipped and stared out the window at the glorious mountains in his backyard. The view seemed so much more meaningful now that he had someone to experience it with; a mate that would make even the most beautiful sunrises better. Today was the beginning of a new life for him as he would begin training Lacee, and she would soon not only completely awaken her wolf but also know the full mate bond that was inside of her as well. A smile crossed his face as he thought about her and the bond they would share for eternity.  He couldn’t wait to share it with her, but for now, he would have to settle on sharing a cup of coffee with her instead. Rinc drank his coffee black, but how did his mate prefer hers? He had so much to learn about the mysterious woman. “Are you making your princess breakfast in bed?” Victoria walked into the room and stretched her ar

Leena's Awakening
Leena woke up in a bed, in a strange room, in a stranger’s house. At first, she about had another panic attack, but then she noticed her sister was right beside her.“Relax, everything is okay.” Lacee comforted her.For a moment, things felt safe, but then she remembered the fangs, and the claws, and the hands that went over her mouth in the barn. Who were these men? Whose house was this? Why was she kidnapped? What exactly were these men? She had so many questions. Her sister tried to answer them the best she could, but it seemed as though Lacee didn’t have many answers either. But apparently, werewolves were real and all around them. Even more shocking, Lacee was one too, and Leena was part werewolf herself. They supposedly had the ability to turn into wolves, hair and all. Leena imagined herself more like a chihuahua with a pretty pink collar than a beastly wolf with sharp claws and deadly fangs. It was comical; something out of a sill

Lacee's Run
Lacee was covered in blood, dirt, and sweat. Every muscle in her body was aching and her stomach was growling from hunger. It had been a long day of training. They had been training since the sun came up, and now the sun was disappearing, and the moon was beginning to take over the sky. All she wanted to do was go take a shower and crawl into bed, but she was too comfortable laying in the grass next to the lake at the moment to even get up and walk. The training had started off easier than she’d thought, running through trails up the mountain, but it went downhill from there. Sure, she’d impressed them with her run, but running was just the start. They continued hiking for what seemed like hours, farther into the mountains so that Lacee’s natural instincts may kick in while among her own in their beloved habitat, but it seemed like a failure because all she felt was hunger and boredom. As the day went on and they reached some zin-like spot for wolves,

Challenging Rinc
Rinc knew that choosing to protect Lacee and her sister would cause some tension in his pack, especially once word got out that she was his bonded mate. Lacee would be considered an outcast; a weak female that had denied her wolf for her entire life. It wasn’t the girl’s fault, she never even knew werewolves existed, let alone that she was one herself. But other packs look for any reason to challenge one another, especially if the Alpha appears to have a weakness. To them, Lacee was his weakness, and they would love an excuse to conquer Rinc Blackrock and his Heavy Moon Pack and take their land from underneath them. With this pack tension, Rinc knew they’d be a chance for his own members to turn on him, but he’d always been a fair and loyal leader, so he’d hoped that they’d stand by his side and fight instead of challenging him themselves.“They want revenge for Walt’s death.” His Beta told him. Even though they wer

Lacee's Fate
Lacee sat next to the lake and stared at the Moon’s reflection over the rippling water. After being attacked just an hour before that, she was still on edge and sore from Gideon’s viscousness. Rinc had shown up just in time to save her from the crazed male. Then, he announced that he had something important to tell her, and it seemed as though he was too nervous or scared to get the words out, which seemed odd for a man so brave and tough. Instead, Rinc led Lacee safely back to the house and told her to clean up and meet him to talk in an hour. It was obvious that he was dragging his feet to push back the conversation, but Lacee could sense that whatever he was going to tell, she needed to hear. After showering, Lacee had thrown on pajamas that Victoria had picked up for her. She knew the girl had once again found humor in picking out unflattering clothes for her. The pajamas were too big and the bottoms drug on the floor when she walked, but Lacee was an expert o

Leena's New Friends
It had been a week and a half since Gideon’s attack, but Leena was still suspicious of every person in the house. Well, everyone but Laran. Laran had been who she ran to when the attack began. It was quite the scene when she busted into the bathroom and screamed for Laran’s help. The poor guy jumped out of the shower butt naked and hurried down the stairs, through the front door, and tackled one of the males. Leena looked around the house for a weapon, grabbing a vase that was the closest thing she could think to use to help Lanee, but by the time she got outside her sister and Gideon were gone. Laran yelled for her to get back inside. So, she ran to the window and watched as Laran wrestled around the yard with the other male. It was a brutal battle, both were bloody and bruised, but after a long terrifying fight, Laran came out on top. Leena couldn’t watch as he killed the other male. It wasn’t in her to be able to see someone&rsqu

Partying with Leena
It was almost nine o’clock at night when Leena heard the shower turn off in the bathroom that connected to the bedroom that she shared with her sister.“You can’t back out of the deal.” Leena reminded Laran, who was standing in the doorway, leaning against the frame with a disappointed look on his face.“She’s still got time to remember.” He said, but it was obvious that Lacee had forgotten Leena’s birthday and was not going to suddenly remember before going to bed.Leena and Laran had waited impatiently in the kitchen as Rinc and Lacee came home from training. The two of them fixed their plates of food, sat at the table, ate bite after bite, and never mentioned the birthday. Laran was obviously hoping that Lacee would pop up and surprise them with a “Happy Birthday” so that he could get out of taking Leena to the party, but her sister never gave him that satisfaction. Now, they were both stalkin

Leena's Birthday
“Come here, baby wolf.” Anderson’s words felt like needles poking into Leena’s chest, stinging her with shock, but leaving her too stunned to flinch.Piper smiled, blood dripping from her pretty red lips as she winked at Leena and nodded in agreement with Anderson’s invitation for the girl to join in on their fun. Even the male human between the two vamps grinned between moans, wanting Leena to become the fourth addition to the group. But the two bite marks on his skin made her feel besieged with sickness, and suddenly she snapped back to reality and needed to get far away from the vampires and their sexual plots that she feared would include her. Leena quickly darted out of the room, slamming the door behind her, and as she turned too quickly on her heels, she fell right into a guy walking by. The two of them stumbled and landed on the floor, her falling practically in his lap.“I’m so sorry!” The poor guy scooted

Forgiving Lacee
“I forgot my own sister’s birthday.” Lacee closed her eyes and shook her head in shame. “How could I forget her damn birthday? I’m a horrible person.”“You’re not a horrible person.” Rinc tried to reassure her.“Well, I’m a horrible sister.” She looked out the window at her little sister who was sitting by the lake with Laran.“That’s not true. Everything you do is for her.” His hand touched her shoulder, and she felt an instant comfort wave over her body. She wondered if the bond he had told her about had anything to do with his comforting touch.“I’ve been so focused on training. It’s exhausting me, physically and mentally. It’s consumed me lately.” She said.“Exactly, and you’ve been working so hard at it for her safety,” Rinc told her. “You’re a great sister.”“She has barely sa

Sweet on Leena
Leena’s birthday had been forgotten the day before but hearing Rinc announce that they were going to throw her a big party now made her perk up. Sure, it was crappy of her sister to forget her eighteenth birthday, but Leena seldom held grudges, especially against the most important person in her life. After announcing the party, Rinc sent Leena and Lacee shopping. The party was only hours away and Leena was excited to make a good impression on the pack. Most had seen her around the packhouse or farm, but they never paid her much attention the past few weeks. This party would be an opportunity to show them that she and her sister were a good addition to their community, even if she was just a half-breed to them. The car slowed down as they went down Main Street in the small college town. Laran pulled into a tiny parking lot and parked the car. He got out and his eyes scanned the area before allowing the two females to get leave the car, and even then, he we
