~ KEEGAN GRAY ~ “I guess these can wait till tomorrow.” I shoved the paperwork aside and rose to my feet with a yawn and left the pack office to take a stroll before heading to bed. “Alpha,” Mason said as he approached me, “Alpha Vladimir sent a message regarding the Diamond pack. We’ll need to prepare in order to assist them fight against the rogue attack that’s predicted to happen soon. He wants us to fight against them as a team and not pay attention to grudges.” He ended and locked his arms behind him. A frown appeared on my face at the thought of meeting Vladimir again. “Okay. I’ll inform Scarlett to select the guards that’ll go.” “You’re also going to be there, you know that, right?” He lifted an eyebrow at me. “I’ll think about it.” “According to the contract, you have to be there as well.” He reminded me in a very calm tone that didn’t piss me off. I heaved a sigh. “I knew something was wrong with that clause. Anyway, it’s fine. I’ll try to remember it.” “Good e

Casper’s car finally stopped in front of the pack house and my heart felt like it weighed heavier than normal. My breath was unsteady, I didn’t want Casper to notice that. “Go on in, it’ll be fine.” He said with a warm smile. I returned his smile, trying to hide my fear. The uncertainty of what Alpha Keegan could do scared me. The worst that could happen was that he was going to kill me; I didn’t think I had done anything that worse that could lead to my death. I didn't want to be scared, but I had no control over my emotions at this point. “Goodnight,” I said and got out of his car. “Do you need me to go in with you?” he offered. I shook my head. “I’ll be fine. I’ll just sneak back in. See you later.” I waved at him and shut the car door. He hesitated before zooming off. A heavy breath left my chest as I turned and headed in through the back door again, wondering why no one was guarding here. The moment I opened the door, it was very dark inside, but the lights suddenly turned

“Jane, we’re here.” Scarlett tapped me. I slowly opened my eyes, stretching my arms out a bit. When did I fall asleep again? “We’re here.” She repeated.I glanced out the window at the two story building sitting right in front of the car. It had so many flowers and plants around it, on the walls, the rails, which added to its beauty. Behind the house, there was a forest that seemed farther than it looked. “It’s such a beautiful place.” I commented. “Yes, let’s head inside.” She still sounded sulky. We got out of the car and caught up with Alpha Keegan by the doorway. He rang the doorbell and it didn't take a minute before the door flung open and Pam Anderson, Scarlett's Mother, came in view, grinning from ear to ear. Scarlett looked like a photocopy of her with the same blue eyes and short blonde hair. “Alpha, Scarlett, I’m so glad you’re here! And you're together.” She grinned and pulled both of them into a joint hug before pulling away. “George!” she called into the house and S

“This weekend is like a break for me.” He changed the topic and when I raised my head to him, he seemed like he was on the verge of smiling. “I want to feel free from my Alpha roles and just have fun for the first time in a long time. I want to explore different aspects of being a werewolf, aspects that aren't tied down to being an Alpha.“Being here makes me feel nostalgic because Scarlett’s grandmother used to live here and when we were younger, we’d come here for holidays sometimes, she’d make us the best dishes, tell us strange and interesting stories, educate us on herbs and the uniqueness of each flower…” he smiled, staring ahead of him like he could see it happening again. Alpha Keegan was actually 'smiling'? So he could 'smile'? “Those days were such happy days. They made me feel loved, she felt like family, like my actual grandmother. Would you like to know a secret?” “What secret?” I returned his smile, eager to hear something exciting. “When she died, I cried.” He said li

Pam's widened eyes traveled from Alpha Keegan to our linked fingers then to the coat I was wearing then down to my feet. Fury crossed her face as her gaze returned to Alpha Keegan. “Did you seriously misuse our secret entrance?”“Misuse?” He glanced at me then shook his head. “Not at all.”“Do you realize how important it is to us? My mother-in-law only told you about the key with intense trust. She expected you to only use it when you’re in need of serious security. How could you just take the risk of letting others know about it?” “Pam… it was for security. We were… uh… we wanted to avoid dangerous tailings. Yes…” he glanced at me. “I hope you feel safer now?” he asked with feigned concern and I nodded, flowing along with his lie. “That’s good to know. It could’ve been a serious attack if we didn’t use this passageway. I’m glad you’re fine.” He wrapped his arm over my shoulder. “Here’s the key.” He handed it over to Pam and tucked a few strands of my hair behind my ear. “You must b

~ KEEGAN ~ I passed beside the full body mirror and caught myself smiling harder than I had ever smiled in a long time. It was all because of the omega and because I had the most relaxing day today. I felt comfortable around her, I could laugh freely, and I even told her major aspects of my life that I preferred to keep private. Everything about her seemed to mesmerize me; her laughter was amazing, her skin was so smooth, like something that could be called perfection. For some reason, she was looking extremely beautiful lately. Her blue eyes felt like daggers going into my ribs, her smile was like a stream of calmness, her hair looked amazing, her body was perfect and looking healthy. ‘This is such a strange feeling.’ I admitted to Drex. ‘It doesn’t feel strange to me, it just feels new. The attraction and attention to the omega feels like our lives depend on it. If I had known the feeling of the mate bond was this great, we’d have had our mate a million years ago.’ He replied,

What the hell was happening? The omega held the back of my head to pull me closer to her, deepening the kiss. My entire body was frozen and my head throbbed in confusion. Her lips against mine felt like it melted my soul as Drex whined. I could’ve pushed her away but I wanted to remain in this exciting moment. Every organ in my body was hit with a rush of exhilaration at her kiss and the way her hands touched my skin and was buried in my hair made me feel on cloud nine. “Jane!” Scarlett pulled her away, breaking the kiss sooner than I wanted. The omega moaned in complaint and it made me feel a strong urge to pull her back to me. Pam walked over to us, her face reddened with intense fury burning in her eyes. “How dare you create such a stupid scene?” She said to the omega through gritted teeth, her fury glared in her voice like she could switch right now and snap the omega’s head off. “Why are you all being so…” the omega stopped mid sentence and burst into laughter at Pam’s facial

~ KEEGAN ~ I caught up with the omega and grabbed her arm from the grip of the man she was following. “Hey!” She snapped. “Who the hell are you?” One of the men asked me. “Where are you taking her to?” I asked them with a glare, towering over them to look intimidating.“We just wanted to have fun, play some games, then we can head out to a nice place with her. She agreed too.” He said with a lopsided smile, not looking scared at all. “I want to go with them,” She whined like a child and for some reason, that just sounded very cute to me and made me chuckle. “Don’t try to take advantage of her because she’s drunk.” I added as a warning and realized it was pointless talking to them, so I turned and left with the omega. To avoid paying attention to stupid and unnecessary glares, I gently pulled the omega with me without staring at anyone else and left for the bedroom. The moment I locked the door, I heaved a deep sigh. “What is wrong with you? Why’d you get drunk when you know y

~ KEEGAN ~The omega was now the only thing on my head and I wasn't feeling the need to hide my emotions around her as much as I was used to. I couldn’t believe I was grinning like a child. The omega affected me so much and the most strange part about it was that I didn’t bother, I knew I felt like I was going crazy, but this craziness was one to be enjoyed. ‘What sort of feeling is this?’ I consulted Drex. ‘Who cares? As long as it makes us feel good, does it matter?’ I rolled my eyes at him with a smile still playing on my lips. Remembering her kiss made my head swirl in genuine excitement, a feeling I hadn't experienced in almost a decade. Her lips on mine just had to be the most amazing thing I had ever experienced in my life.I had to force myself to clear my thoughts of the omega, though it couldn't happen completely, I was able to regain a bit of focus back to attend to my work. It was going to take the next few hours and I needed full concentration, so I shut the door, hopi

‘What the hell? How’s that even possible? What’s going on?’ I asked with a frustrated groan. ‘We have no idea. It wasn’t expected at all and everyone is in danger. We’re all trying our best to fight against them but the strength of the strong members of the pack isn't enough to fight them and their attack is happening non-stop and is mostly affecting the children. I don’t know how, but we’re not really able to mind link one another in the pack. I've been trying to reach out to you since the last time you mind linked me but it wasn’t working out. I don’t even know how long this link will go on for. Just hurry back home Alpha.” The panic in Mason’s voice was one I’ve never heard from him. His usual boldness and sternness had been flushed down the drain. ‘I’ll be there. There’s another big issue: the omega is missing. We have no idea where she is.’ I also couldn’t hide my worry at all, my palms were getting sweaty for the first time in a long time. ‘That’s really terrible, but Alpha
