Spies

As soon as I watched Kayler get into his car and start, followed by the other guys, Anne and I headed for hims. I sat in the co-pilot seat, while she started up. We had to go slowly and at a fairly long distance so they wouldn't get suspicious. They were much farther ahead, now I do think I will be able to find out a lot of things and that puts me in a good mood. I just hope that whatever I find out doesn't ruin my relationship with Kayler. "Now you're going to tell me," Anne commented. "Why are we following them? If they find out, Carolina, we're not going to find out anything and we're going to get in trouble," she said. "And what we have to find out is why they always leave class in groups and never say where or what, or if they say something they always say it's a job, I don't believe them, something tells me there's something else." I sighed "Besides, I think those wolves have something to do with all this." I could tell he looked at me. "I think you're right," she sai

In trouble

Oh, God, that voice. That voice is the one I've been looking for a long time, the one I haven't heard for the last few days. And it just had to appear now. Anne and I slowly turned to Connor, who was standing in front of us with his arms folded, looking serious. I smiled at him as casually as possible, as if we were doing nothing wrong. Anne grabbed my arm. "Connor!" I exclaimed, scratching the back of my neck, "Where have you been? I've been looking for you." He frowned and I could see his face light up, but then he quickly walked over to us and grabbed our arms in the direction of the car right in front of us. "Get in, you two have a lot to explain to me." He rounded the car and got into the front seat. We didn't say anything, we just listened and got into the back seats. We couldn't stay here any longer, Kayler could leave at any moment and well.... Then he'd be in big trouble. Connor started up and accelerated. "While we get to your house, Carolina, you can explain to

Johnson High School. Part 1

Feeling Connor kiss me is very... Weird, his lips are soft and it tastes like... I have no idea what. I'm not kissing him back, I think this is a mistake and that I'm a lousy girlfriend because until yesterday Kayler asked me to be his girlfriend, and how it had cost him because he's not that much of one. And that's a lot. Connor pulled away from me, slowly, seeing that I didn't reciprocate. I pursed my lips in a single line. "Connor, this isn't right....." I muttered. The atmosphere had become tense. He nodded his head repeatedly and ran his hands over his face. "I understand," he said, "I understand," he repeated. He stood up quickly and walked to the door, opened it, but before leaving, he turned to me. "I'll see you later, okay?" He pretended to smile, but he didn't come out. I stood up and turned to him. "Yes, that's fine." I grabbed the doorknob as I watched him leave, "Connor," I called out to him. He turned to look at me, "Don't disappear, will you." He s

Johnson High School. Part 2

I was a little worried, I did not know what was going to happen in the next few minutes, because it was almost noon, Anne was next to me a little sleepy, our classmates were a little excited because they will know another school, the girls were only thinking "I hope there are cute guys" Bah. I know them all and... Well, yes, there are several good looking guys but they are all shallow and the typical womanizing and popular guys. The car bus Kayler was in was ahead of ours, I guess those must have arrived by now. God, I don't want to get there. Hopefully Will got sick today and didn't make it to class. Hopefully. I looked out my window at the houses, the stores, those same ones I once went into. I smiled to myself. However, I no longer feel part of this place, not anymore. Now I feel like I belong somewhere else, with someone else. Anne stirred beside me and yawned. "Are we there yet?" she asked, clicking. "Yes," I replied. She frowned. "You look worried..." she comment

Johnson High School. Part 3

Oh, God. I pull away from Kayler, slowly, not taking my eyes off of him What do I do now? Kayler looks behind me, where Will is supposed to be, and frowns. His gaze turns cold and dark. I squeeze my eyes tightly shut and get ready to stand up. "Hello, Will." I greeted him, in a whisper. Kayler immediately stood next to me, rigid. Will stares at me with a smirk on his face and, without warning, comes over and hugs me. "Oh, God, I've missed you so much." he murmured. I could sense sincerity in his voice. I hugged him back. "Me too." I said. I closed my eyes a little but then opened them as I felt Will's shirt being tugged away from me. Of course. Kayler. "Kayler." I threatened him, seeing him stand in front of me, looking menacingly at Will. "Hey, I was just hugging my ex-girlfriend." Will snapped at him, also being rude. Kayler laughed sarcastically. "You said it yourself, ex-girlfriend. She's my girlfriend now, and I don't want you anywhere near her. And I do

Johnson High School. Last part

I frowned, completely confused by what Will told me, that can't be possible? or could it? Kayler is just like anyone else, Will is only saying this because maybe the medication is making him say things he's not, he's just delusional. Having said that last thing he put the breathing thing back on and closed his eyes, apparently the sedative they had given him was already taking effect, his hand was losing strength so I was able to let go. "Rest." I whispered, looking at him and debating what he had told me. I don't know whether to believe him or not. The most logical thing would be not to believe him, because Kayler's eyes could not change shape. I confess that sometimes I look at them very dark, more than usual but it's only when he gets angry, I never looked at him anything strange and like that. Will got confused. I have to talk to Kayler anyway. I left the room and went to Connor, who had his eyes on his cell phone, like he was sending a message or something. "Connor," I ca

The truth

Anne and I were screaming, clinging to each other, looking at the spectacle in front of us. But, as soon as the wolves heard our scream they turned to look and suddenly stopped. I stopped screaming, but Anne was still screaming, so I immediately covered her mouth with my hand. The wolves looked tired, gasped and stared at us with frowns. The silence was obvious, we were paralyzed with fear, even breathing was very difficult, those wolves were fighting and now they will take their anger out on us, I know, we will be dinner. I looked at that black wolf who I already knew, he is mine, the one who always defends me, Oh God, maybe I will be lucky today and they won't do anything to us. "Carolina…" Anne whispered in my ear with difficulty. "No. Speak." I whispered too, slowly. The other brown wolf wanted to approach us but immediately the black wolf growled so loudly that the other wolf stood still, not to obey him, but to face him, again. It was a war of glances between them, an

Whatever happens

I started to take some clothes out of my closet, I had my suitcase open, ready to arrange my things. I can't believe mom decided to leave. Now. Like this. She didn't even give me a few days but said tomorrow, I think she just said that out of desperation. I hope Mike convinces her otherwise, I don't want to leave. I picked up the picture that was on my nightstand, it had Kayler and Scott in it. Kayler. I don't understand why I can't stay mad at him for long, it's a very rare and strong bond I have towards him. I've never felt this way before. With anyone. Mom just now went out on the town with Mike, at first she didn't want to go, I could only convince her to leave the door locked, no leaving, no one coming in. I left the photo in its place and opened the drawer, taking out some paints I had stored there, I had a lipstick called Color rosa mate. My mind opened up at that moment, Matte, I had heard that word before, but where? I started to reminisce, yes, when I was at Kayler's

Carolina Lane

• Wolves look like normal humans and behave like normal humans, they walk among us even in daylight. • Excessive thirst, absence of tears or saliva, in general, they look dehydrated. • They may have paler skin than normal. • They howl during the night, only when they are turned into a wolf. They usually have wounds or ulcers that do not heal on their arms and legs, due to their nocturnal activity during full moon nights. • Their eyes glow in the dark. I frowned at what I had just read, that information is not very helpful, besides werewolves? That doesn't exist, and I think I'm going crazy. Really crazy. I turned off the light in my room and lay down on my bed, I was tired and I think Kayler won't come today, something tells me he won't, will he be in trouble? I think if I ask him why he leaves when the wolves are howling he will tell me that he and his father want to hunt them or just take them to some shelter. He is very astute about the answers and I have been very na

Traitor

KAYLER. "Traitor, that's what it is." I slapped the table on which Paige's father was sitting. The poor fellow sighed and stammered unintelligible words. "She's jealous." He smiled, as if playing it down. I gave Apollo a look, he just shrugged his shoulders and motioned for us to leave. We had to do something more important, today is Greg's ceremony, part of our pack, and we all had to be there, under the full moon, in the middle of the forest. "All right, I'll find her," I turned around, but I looked at him, "as for you, you'll hear from me." And without further ado, we left. While we were on the road I tried to identify Anne's car in the surroundings but I didn't look at it, Carolina was going with her, she thought I wasn't going to see her, I worry about her, more now that Paige betrayed her pack and us, she is loose and she is going to catch her against Carolina. I have to be with her, something tells me she needs me right now. We were driving past the high school
