“Y-YOU stupid brat! What are you doing here?”“What are you doing?”Mix of emotions are circling inside Sam, with his mind in protest and trying to make sense out of everything that he is seeing in front of him.“Tsk! This damn kid!”“What are you doing to Cath!”He screams, now in rage and shaking in anger. Seeing five adults around Cath and about to do something dirty to his girl.“Samuel?”Cath’s father called out to him in the tone of surprise and in guilt at first. Then it all washed away and exchange with the expression of hostility and anger. Blaring at him that he is being a nuisance to his plan.“You know this kid? What is this all about? We thought that we can have this night to ourselves? Remember that we paid you handsomely for your daughter.”Sam’s eyes widen in shock, fixing his thoughts and trying to make sense of what he just heard.“Paid? Why did they pay you? Cath?”His shivering voice due to his anger and bewilderment. Holding his breath for a second and immediately

“I am not dictating you or anything Sam. But you should know that Cath deserve to know the truth. For it is best that it will be coming from you and not from someone else.”Adriella reminded him, her words and sincerity that is enough for Sam to know that she is on his side. Knowing and both that what happened that night is not his fault. His act of protecting the person that he dears the most.“One of these days, mom.”He assures and promises. Fully aware that what Adriella told him is the best thing that he should do and he better do it fast and soon.“Then I’ll leave you to that. Just remember that I am here for you. I can always help you explain everything to Cath.”“Thank you, mom.”Sam took a deep sigh, thinking about his recent conversation with Adriella. With the same fact that Jun first made him promise to do something and quick. Confessing everything of what really happened from the past before Cath knew about it from anyone. That dark past that up until now, it is Lindsey w

“BEATRICE.”The name that immediately rings the warning bell inside Cath’s mind.“Beatrice Cruz?”“Yes, that was her name before my father changes it to the one that she is using now.”Cedric’s innocent reply that is damn honest enough to be judge and think that the boy is even lying with it.“The Governor’s private secretary.”“Cath, are you alright?”Sam’s worry with her sudden gesture and surprise expression that immediately turns into worry and then anger.“If I am right, she is also one of the persons that Jun is looking for his entire life’s career.”“What do you mean?”Cath hesitates, looking back at the children and especially Cedric that will be the worst victim and the one with the utter disappointment not just towards his father, but for his life.“Do not worry about me aunt Cath,” the boy assures, brave and firm and subsequently telling her that he had seen the worst and even heard and knew the faults that his father had done. “I can manage. Besides, I am more than prepare

“ARE YOU ALRIGHT, CEDRIC?”Monique’s worries, calling Cedric and immediately after their lunch date with her parents’ end. Checking on the young boy and making sure that everything is fine with him.“I am.” Cedric assures the little girl, yet he doesn’t want to lie to her. “But my father might be on to something.” He confesses which worried Monique even further.“What do you mean? Did the Governor knew that you told us everything of his plan?”“I do not think so.” Cedric confess, sewing the facts the he currents have from the tone, mood and actions of his father. “Well he might be, but I think he is not sure yet.”“Will you be alright after what he just said? Especially that you, yourself is having doubts that he might know.”Monique’s concern and all while having her own thoughts and doubts if she will tell this to her mom and dad.“Don’t worry about me, I know my father, I will be careful enough and as promise I will get you those documents as soon as possible.”Cedric assures Moniq

“STOP IT!”Francis screams, stopping his wife from making a further scene and smashing everything that she sees from their living room in a not-so-typical way. But in a composed and educated manner. Holding her head up without breaking her pretty face in front of him. “Stop! Why the hell would I stop!”His wife answers back at him. Not crying nor shedding a tear or two, yet is raging with anger toward him. Then she slaps him on the face hard, all along with her grace and posture that is screaming her sophistication and unlike any other wife who is being cheated on by their husband. “What is your problem!”“My problem?”Their sudden fight seems like a one-sided thing, which their housemaids and servants are staying away from. Though it is a surprise and a shock for them, knowing that the two had never had such a huge fight like this, nor the madam of the house ever acted this way. “What is the meaning of all of this Charles?”Her educative question, holding and still of her composur
