Finding my way to you のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 71 - チャプター 80

Rosaline felt like she was melting in the kiss. She looked at William with half-closed eyes as he continued to savor it.She was lost and could not think straight. Her thoughts were all over the place as she felt like she was slowly going limp and breathless. However, she felt something beneath her that jolted her awake. She pulled back with eyes wide open. William looked at her with hooded eyes, aware of what shocked her, as he slowly took deep breaths, in no hurry to explain. After a minute or so, when realization dawned on her, Rosaline went from being shocked to being embarrassed. Then he finally broke the silence. “Now, you know how much you affect me.”“I am sorry. I didn't mean to.”“Don’t be. It’s good to know I affect you too.”William kissed her on the corner of her eyes and hugged her taking deep breaths to ease his tension.“I’m sorry. I don’t know what else to say.”Rosaline said as she realized he always thought of her no matter what. “Then don’t say anything. Just le

“You are so annoying.” Rosaline sighed as she playfully kicked William in the chest. “I’m also very horny.” William kissed her knee as he held her feet. “Serves you right.”“Then, how about we forget about getting you fed, and I eat you instead.” William teased her. Contrary to his expectations, Rosaline looked at him thoughtfully. That made him anxious. “I have never thought about that.”“Hey, I was just joking. Don’t overwork your pretty head.”“I know. I just never thought about that.”“We should go with the flow. Don’t overthink things, alright.”William patted her shoulders and comforted her, all the while feeling strange about where the conversation flowed.“I’m not overthinking anything. When you said it like that, for a second, I suddenly wanted to.”“What?”William stared at her wide-eyed.‘How did she go from being confused and flustered to that? Her train of thoughts is amazing.’“I didn't mean it like that. I just..,” Rosaline paused, turning to hold his hands as she l

“My mother has some colorful words to describe you,” William told her as they were seated in the living room after lunch to discuss the next course of action.“She has started to play her cards then,” Rosaline replied indifferently. William did not know what to make of her.Since that morning, she had been different. Like she was unreachable and locked away.He panicked seeing her like that. But he could not ask her anything just on his instinct, especially when that same instinct told him she would not tell him anyway.“Here’s the case files and all the evidence.” William passed a file to her.“I had filed the complaint the day after we met.”He was getting increasingly uneasy and wanted to resolve this as soon as possible. “Okay.” Rosaline carelessly hummed her reply while flipping through the case files.“This is enough. It will land Supriya in jail for at least a few months. And if we disclose this to the public, she will lose all credibility. What do you think?”“It’s not enoug

Rosaline and William stood up as the manager showed up.“Hello, Miss, Sir, I’m John Whitmore. I’m the manager of this branch. How may I help you?”“Hello, Mr. Whitmore. I am Rosy. I talked to you in the morning regarding the new line of products that came in today.”“Of course, Miss. Rosy. I have already asked someone to separate the new designs based on your requirements. They will be officially launched and displayed after five days.”“I hope you understand that this is but an exception made for you as the VIP customer and only because you have the approval from the top.”“However, you and your friend would have to sign an NDA since the products are not on display yet. Also, you will have to sign the consent that you won’t be wearing it or showing it to others before the official launch. And everything you do today will be recorded live.”“This is standard procedure as our designers work tirelessly on every item, and we can’t repay their efforts by getting involved in a plagiarism i

William and Rosaline took their bags from the baggage counter and hailed a taxi to Tessa’s house. They did not speak en route as they were unsure who was listening. The only time they ditched and distracted their stalkers was when they had gone to AR Mansion. “What was that about?” William asked Rosaline as they settled in Tessa's living room.Tessa was still outside. She was working with Albert and Chandler handling Uncle Kevin’s matters, so they were the only ones in the house. “I saw my cousin,” Rosaline started, but she did not know where to begin.Tina had been something of an archenemy since before she could remember. She still did not know why Tina hated her so much. “I take it you are not close,” William surmised.“Not close would be an understatement of what we are. Honestly, I’m not sure what we are or why my cousin hates me so damn much.”William could feel her emotions and helplessness, so he pulled her in his lap, straddling him.He only said, “I have all the time in
