Chapter 112Samantha's POVI stared at her limp body that was going cold in seconds, a tear slid down from my eyes again and I had to throw my head backwards to stop more tears from running down my cheeks."Mantha." I heard Kay's voice and I opened my eyes to see him standing beside me with someone standing with him too perhaps the one who was supposed to save her."She... She is dead." I mumbled and he quickly crouched beside me, threw his hands around me and held me tightly, cuddling me."I am sorry," he mumbled."She... She knew where the bus was headed but she... She could not even tell me before she died." I replied him."It's okay... We are going to find out somehow soon," he said and kissed my forehead before helping me up.He carried me in his arms and walked back to the car while I continued to stare back at the corpse of Clarice.Perhaps she would not be dead if we had gotten to her a few minutes earlier? I sighed softly as Kay placed me in the car."I am sorry," Cara said t

Chapter 114Samantha's POVI stood up from my bed, grabbed the bottle of water beside me and gulped down the entire bottle.I moved wearily to the bathroom, took a quick shower and changed my clothings. I let my hair down as usual and put on the locket that I shared with Kay."Kayden?" I called, walking towards the door but there was no response."Kayden." I called again but there was still no reply."Kayden." I called in a mind link."Hey Mantha, you woke up already?" He asked."Sure, where are you?" I asked softly."I am sorting some things out. Don't worry yourself, just stay home and await me." he replied."Why did you leave without me?" I grumbled."I just want you to be safe Mantha.""No, I don't want to be this frail luna." I replied him and heard him sigh."Okay fine! When next I am going to do something, you are coming with me." he said."Okay.... I would wait for you then." I replied him and ended the mind link before plopping to the bed once more.I felt a bit lonely and I

Chapter 116Samantha's POV"She has the same mark with me?" I asked Cassie, with my eyes widening and she nodded.Loads of thoughts streamed into my head at her nod. Who could it be? A slave also found her way to this place? How was that possible? Who could she be?"Did she mention her name?" I asked Cassie." I already told you she did not say anything about her, it was just me who noticed the mark on her, she simply asked about you and immediately I told her you were not here, she left this place immediately." Cassie replied and I moved backwards, taking several steps before plopping to the chair behind me.I cupped my face in my palms, slowly sending my fingers into my messed up hair."Is anything wrong? There's really something about the lady?" Cassie asked, standing beside me and holding my shoulders."Can....can you describe how she looked?" I asked Cassie but she simply looked up to the ceiling like she was thinking.I could tell that it was hard for her to describe how the lad

Chapter 118Samantha's POV"Marie....." I called in surprise. She was the girl that came along with Clarice back then."You know her?" James asked and I nodded."Yes I do know her." I replied him and shot up from my seat."What reasons could she have for coming here? And how did she manage to escape but could not get Clarice to do the same?" I asked Cara."Perhaps they were both trying to escape but Clarice was caught back and was brutally killed." Cara replied me and that kind of made sense to me.Marie perhaps thought that I was the only one in the position to help her and that was why she came to look for me."We cannot let her down Cara." I said to my wolf side."Sure, Alphas do not let down, they defend and protect." Cara replied and I paced the length of the room."Are you okay? Is there anything Alpha Kayden should be informed about?" James asked and I immediately shook my head.If there was anything that I knew about Kayden, it was that he would never let me go after Marie if

Chapter 120Samantha's POV"You sure do know that Kayden did not deserve any of the words you said to him." Cara said to me and I sighed.I slipped to the floor and cuddled my knee right in the middle of road. I was frustrated and I had said those words that I just most definitely do not mean. For hell! How could I have said he was treating me this way because I was a slave? For one thing, Kayden had never reminded me about the fact that I was a runaway slave, he had never made me feel like one also. I was just being stupid and rational.I wanted to go after him and apologize to him but I could still feel his immense anger that shrouded his sadness. I had caused him more stress, all he was doing for me, he went out to make sure that things would be okay and he was out to search for me to ensure that I am fine and what did I do in return? I just screamed hateful and spiteful words at him."I.... I... I should never have opened my mouth to speak to him." I mumbled to myself."Sometimes
