บททั้งหมดของ The Lycan's Luna: บทที่ 31 - บทที่ 40

The piercing howl of wind blasting my ears cut off under yet another shriek of terror. Anxiety pushed at my limbs, initiating the shift from man to wolf without conscious thought. Large and majestic in his coat of obsidian black, Jalal raced through the woods, crushing and stomping anything that stood in his way. Anything that delayed him from getting to her. By this point, I couldn’t be bothered to tell him to remain calm. It wouldn’t make a difference. Ever since we picked up the she-wolf’s scent and left the clan grounds, the idiot had seemingly lost the ability to understand basic language. I relinquished control over our body to him and sat in the back of our shared mind. When I threw a rejection in her face, the link between soulmates hadn’t been established between our wolves. So, he led by scent alone. I didn’t regret my decision. On the contrary, my resolve to draw a line with the bitch became even firmer after yesterday’s discovery. “Einas, Saira’s in danger!” Jalal’s ag

The Living Hall of the Lycan Palace was full. The Lycan Leader, his Luna, his mistress, and every extra that either worked or was in the building at that moment was present. I helped Saira to the sofa, blatantly ignoring the presence of my brother, as he shadowed us. Growing up, we never got along. But for some reason, his face irritated me more today, then it ever had before. “It’s called jealousy, Idris. You’re jealous he found Saira before us.” Malko moaned melancholically. I could almost envision him curling his tail around himself. Shoulders drooped, eyes vacant, as grief and unwillingness assaulted my senses. He was right, of course. Though their bond was incomplete, Einas still found Saira before I did. This was the advantage of a soulmate bond. It was an intangible link a bonding mark, or even a chosen mate bond, couldn’t rival. I felt a spark of jealousy. Just a tiny bit, at the bond, at the strong connection my brother still shared with my wife. But I would never admit it

The clatter of cooking pots exploded in the air as I dropped them on the floor. They spun in circles, rolling over to the corner where a heap of disposable plates and utensils waited for sorting. I closed my eyes and sucked in a deep breath. Calm. I needed to stay calm. I counted to ten. The rage, the frustration, the heartache…they flowed out of my limbs with each breath. When my body stopped shaking, I grabbed my purse and strolled out of the Palace kitchen. I did the shopping and prepared the menu. It wasn’t my duty to sort the items. The second I turned the corner, the pungent scent of air-freshener and perfumes drifted into my nostrils. With pale expressions, Omegas and she-Lycans scurried out from a nook on the other side of the kitchen. My chest felt stuffy, my steps heavy, as I trudged out of the palace back to the Lycan Heir’s mansion. The past week had been nothing short of a nightmare. After Einas Raed proved me a liar in front of his clan, the Lycans avoided me like a

Growing up, that man spent all his time and energy on the son of his mistress. I sulked in a corner, thinking he didn't like me because of the Luna. I cried and complained to the Moon Goddess. Blamed her for not making me the son of Eira Haris as well. I didn’t understand. Why did Raed Basil not care about me? Even if he hated the Luna, I was still his son. I thought he cared about me, but just didn't show it because of Luna Nazia. So at ten, when I overheard him make a personal request to the former Lycan Commander to train Einas Raed, I gritted my teeth and decided to train in secret as well. Maybe, he would notice me if I showed him I wasn't any worse than Einas. That's what I thought. How naïve I was. The day his bastard son had his evaluation, I challenged him. Though I won, what I got wasn't praise. No, Raed Basil locked me in a basement for training in secret. In his words, training in secret was the first sign of ambition. Of rebellion. Of possible usurpation of his posit

After my phone call with Kaim, I finished the dress I was working on and packed up my sewing machine. The full moon this year fell on the first of the month. Which meant, in five days, it would be the first of December. The first night of the Moon Dance. I brought out my laptop and logged onto ‘I, Luna’, the online site for my designer line. I smiled at the membership promotion Sofia set up. She ran the site better than I expected. When my designs began to gain recognition in the human and supernatural world, she took it upon herself to turn it into a famous brand by modeling for the first line-ups. And now, she ran the online site as Vice President, while I made new designs and kept up with custom-orders. In the past few days alone, over a hundred orders came in. Over a thousand shipped out. When I saw the profit sheet, my jaw fell in shock. “Goddess! That’s enough to smuggle in an entire stock of new drugs!” My heart pounded with excitement. With this amount, I had one less thi
