Maxwell raised his eyebrows when he saw the look of confusion on Mellisa's face. "Mellisa, are you alright?" He asked, remembering how she had gotten sick from his perfume the last few days. "Am I making you uncomfortable?" Mellisa bit her lip, unsure of what to say. She had been living with Maxwell for a month now, but she still knew nothing about him. What if he were a serial killer, or worse? "Who are you?" She blurted out. Maxwell chuckled, swallowing his laughter before speaking in a serious tone. "I thought you knew who I was. I kidnapped a lot of women and sold them overseas, that's why I'm this rich. I'm absolutely bad news." Mellisa was sweating by the time Maxwell finished speaking. Her eyes widened in shock, and she didn't realise that he was only joking. "Are you going to sell me too?" She asked fearfully. Maxwell wanted to burst into laughter, but he stopped himself when he saw Melissa's teary eyes. "Please don't sell me," She begged. Maxwell smil

Maxwell couldn't help but smile in affection as he watched Melissa eagerly waiting for the waiter to finish serving. "These cakes smell so good!" She exclaimed with excitement and started to dish the cakes onto her plate. She seemed to be in her own little world of joy and contentment. "Stop watching me eat!" Melissa said with a chuckle, handing a plate with a cake on it to Maxwell. "You must try it, it's absolutely delicious!" She encouraged, her eyes filled with delight. Maxwell took the plate of cake, ready to indulge when his eyes fell upon a suspiciously different color. All thanks to the woman who wanted to be in his bed, he was able to detect if something had been added to the food or drinks. He knew that someone had spiked Mellisa's food and coffee. Without reluctance, he placed the plate of cake aside and pulled out his phone. He dialed a number and the call connected almost immediately. "Come to the Food Lovers restaurant," he commanded sternly. "I want

Zick stormed into his study room, his face a mask of rage as he pulled his phone out of his pocket. He dialed the number of his men without any greeting and barked. "Did you find anything about Melissa?" "Yes boss, though it was very hard," The man on the other end replied. "The man she is with is so powerful that we couldn't locate his address." "Do you think I'm an idiot? Of course, I know all that " Zick spat. "Did you find any information at the hospital, or not?!" "Yes sir," The man said hesitantly. "Your wife is pregnant sir." Zick's face turned crimson with anger as his pulse raced and his heart pounded. How dare Mellisa betray him in such a way? They had separated for a month, and she could not wait to have sex with another man. " Sir, are you still there?? " The man asked over the phone. " What do we do about her? " Zick snapped out of his daze, his voice forceful and determined. "Follow her and if you find a chance, I want you to kidnap her. Onc

Maxwell had no choice but to head to Mellisa's room. He was aware that Tina now knew about Mellisa's pregnancy and would do anything to force him into giving her a baby. He had countless options to leave the house and leave Tina behind, but he wanted to keep her close so he could be aware of her plans. Maxwell walked up the stairs, feeling as if he were going to fall, but luckily he made it to Melissa's room. When he opened the door, the sight that welcomed him made his throat go dry and he swallowed hard. Melissa had a short towel wrapped around her body, revealing her long milky legs. The towel only covered half of her butt and as she bent down to apply lotion on her legs, the towel lifted, exposing the lacy underwear she was wearing, giving Maxwell a full view of her private parts from behind. 'Shit!' Maxwell cursed in his head. Melissa was looking so sexy at the moment, without her knowledge that Maxwell was watching her all along. Melissa finished applying the bod

Melissa was now utterly exhausted, and Maxwell stepped in to help her out. He gently bathed her, and then carried her to the bedroom. Despite her cheeks burning in embarrassment, Melissa remained silent and allowed him to help her, as she was too tired to even move a finger. After drying her hair, Maxwell retrieved some clothes from her closet for her to change into. He then took his own clothes and went to the bathroom to change, so as not to make her feel any more uncomfortable. By the time he returned, Melissa had already changed. He walked to the bed and sat next to her "Melissa, I understand that you don't love me and don't want me in your life. But I want to be in your life, I want to be with you. I'm not sure if this is love, but all I know is that I want to be in your life. I know you need time to think, so I'm not asking for you to love me or anything. All I'm asking is for you to let me be your husband.” Melissa blinked at Maxwell, her heart pounding as she looked
