Stefan's pov : Sleep is fast becoming a thing of the past for me.I know that at some point I would probably crash and burn, but for now. I toss and turn then roam the forest all night long because I want to keep my word. One might think it's only my word to Brie that's most important to me. But it's not. It's my word to my father and my promise to my lineage and bloodline that's most important.Tonight isn't any different from the other nights I've had since the one where I found my mate. But something was tingling in the back of my head, coupled with the small heat, I have been feeling. So as per usual, I begin to toss and turn. Then Lygion became restless."What is it?" I asked him "I don't exactly know what it is, but there might be blood shed tonight." He said."Try to be more specific, blood is shed every night now, so where will this one take place. I don't know Stefan, perhaps if we can close our eyes for just thirty minutes. If we can just get some sleep, we wo

Sonaya's pov ...After the spectacle with Mel, her minions and their mates.I had spelled them to forget whatever happened that fateful morning. So yeah, they still give me the stink eye and some attitude but they generally avoid me.It's been two days since then, and I just moved into the palace staff quarters.Zaya had other ideas of where I would stay. But I insisted on staying here and avoiding my mate and his chosen mate.Zaya was busy with her mate the whole of yesterday. But this morning, I woke up to the throbbing pain of my mate being far away from me."Hey Naya, are you up?" She asked in our mindlink."Yes I am." I said."Is this what you feel every time he is faraway from you?" she asked me."Wait, did Nathan go with him?""Yes, they go to a lot of places together."She said and I sighed."Yes I feel it, but it won't be as painful as yours." I told her."Can you please come spend the day with me in my suite?" She asked"As long as you're buying." I told her

Sonaya's Pov: When I came to again, the burning sensations welcomed me with a sharp pain. I had began screaming and whimpering again when I heard his growl. It was something, definitely something I haven't ever heard before from him. It was deep and sounded dangerous. It was clear as day, like a swift command, reverberating through the capital. No soul can claim not to have heard. It was a powerful command from their king. The howls and growling from whatever the unmated males were trying to do, stopped for a few moments before they began to whine. His scent was getting closer, becoming more intense. My body was almost vibrating with need. I wanted him now, like right now. I let out a frustrated growl as the heat roared through me again. I was ready to crawl out of the tub to him. I tried to anchor some of my weight onto the side of the tub, to lift the upper half of my body out of the tub. "What are you doing?" Zaya asked alarmed " You don't need to go to him, he's com

Sonaya's pov ...I had seen the moon, the stars and the sun, when he finally let go and flung me over the edge of the pleasure cliff.I couldn't believe this kind of level of pleasure existed.I wondered if this Is what Brie feels, If this is pleasure was why he'd refused to let her go.But whatever euphoric pleasure I was feeling evaporated shortly after though. Because I could feel him detaching himself from me again. It was more vivid now through our bond.It seemed to have snapped into place with our mating. It was now complete, our souls were fully merged. From now on there would only be a few things, almost nothing he can hide from me.The same goes for me.I can't hide from him anymore, he'll feel everything I feel now, even more.So when he pulled out of me and came all over my belly and breast. I could feel him pushing Lygion away, shutting me out, and bringing up his cold demeanor.I instantly felt dirty, I felt worse than a whore, shame slammed into me so hard, I

Brie's pov ..."Your grace, the king has requested your presence at dinner." The maid said and waited for my reply. She fidgeted, moving her small weight from one foot to another as she waited anxiously."Okay, tell the king I'll be happy to accompany him to dinner." I said in a curt response.I am angry and super super frustrated with my situation. At least I wasn't jealous, even though I should be.Before that fateful marking., My beast growled out in displeasure at my reference to her mate as being anything but perfect.I would have lashed out already at the king having or needing to f*ck his wh*re of a mate, because of the heat.I would have already gone down to his suite of apartments, demanding an explanation.I would have been furious, jealous and scared, I wasn't feeling any of those emotions right now.Because I know now, that I won't be alone, I know that I had a mate that is waiting for me to return, that cherishes me, that wants me, that craves me.But ofcourse I can't let
