I and Alya didn't wait for a second, we sprinted into a run using our full speed, she took my hand and we turned down corners and alleys together while the sound of horses got louder behind us."Damn, they're fast!" Alya said swearing."I want those animals!" We heard the Head Guard shout. Then we heard dogs barking."Those dogs. We can scare them off but it'll still alert those guards and we can't take them all." I said and Alya nodded." They won't stop searching and we can't run forever. We need a place to hide." Alya said as she stopped to look around."You said they won't stop searching, sooner or later, those dogs would walk by and smell something unusual and the moment we scare them off, the dogs go back whimpering but still our location would be figured out," I said and she ran her hands through her hair."Make your words clear, are we running or fighting?" She asked and I took a deep breath." We're doing none," I said

KIMBERLEY'S POV.Everyone was panicking and the Guards were trying to put them at ease while the Class of the Noble Women were trying to restore peace. The people were all scared and as a result, were proving to be uncontrollable. The Grunds had conquered yet another Kingdom and theirs was next.Daniel hadn't sent as much as a letter and with the speed the Grunds were conquering, she felt they'd conquer them before Daniel even got the sword."We have to assure the people. It seems like the news of the capability of the Grunds has reached their ears. Some are trying to escape the city." Starr, One of Daniel's men said."I and the Class of the Noble Women would talk with them, we'll try to calm things down. You all should focus on your duties. We'll handle them." I said and went to Lady Marietta.  "Luna." She said and bowed."Lady Marietta. I need us to gather the people in the Great Hall, their restlessness and trouble-min

DANIEL'S POV.The arrows flew by, quick, sure, and deadly."Watch out Alya!" I said and pulled her, resulting in an accidental fall.As we fell, I saw the fear in her face."We have to move Dan! We can't take them all!" She said as more arrows flew by.We rolled, ducking and avoiding the arrows until we were able to stand. We used all our wolf abilities, speed, hearing, feeling, and the rest just to escape. We saw the forest getting closer, if only we could get there in time, then we could manage to avoid them.Alya suddenly turned and gave a kick.A spear had been aimed at me.We continued to run and I was about to step into the forest when I felt pain."Ah!" I exclaimed. An arrow had pierced the back of my upper arm.We ran straight into the forest and in my hastiness to remove the arrow so I could heal, the wood snapped in half, leaving the metal head in my flesh."Ah!" I exclaimed painfully once more."Dan! Dan!! Just hang on! We'll lose them soon, I promise!" Alya said as she he

DANIEL'S POV. I and Alya had trouble making it out of the forest, we just ended up going in circles and I didn't know why I suddenly felt that urgency to move faster. It was probably because I already had the sword. It remained light in my hand and I knew that swords on any normal day were always heavy. We spent probably two hours roaming the forest and finally burst out on the streets and we ran. " I can't believe we made it!" Alya said as we ran. "Same here. It all feels like a dream. A pretty one and I just hope it's not. Funny enough, as we ran past the streets, we ran into Amaya. "Alya!" She called and came to hug Alya who in turn hugged her. "Oh, my amazing darling. I hope you've been well." Alya said, almost kneeling so she could come to her height. "I've been well. " She said and looked at me. " Did you get what you're looking for? Old Jerry told me you asked him to help you find something." She said and we smiled and I showed her the sword and shield. " Cool." She

DANIEL’S POVI sealed the wall back with the sword in it, as I didn’t want to make hasty decisions, and opened the door, immediately, they bowed to me.“Alpha, we’ve searched everywhere for you.” One of them said immediately.“ What did you say about the Grunds?” I asked again, just to be sure I heard right.“There are a lot of people at the Kingdom’s gates and we’re suspecting they’re more Grounds, seeking revenge.” Another said and I walked out of the Royal Store with Kimberley behind me.“ Kimberley, maybe you should have dinner without me, I’ll be right back, and don’t worry too much, it’ll all be fine,” I said as I noticed the worry on her face. I didn’t want her to worry about anything as she had been stressed recently. She looked reluctant to go but I needed whatever bad news there was, to get to me first, so I could find a neat way of relaying it to her.At last, she turned and walked away and when she was out of sight, I and my men made our way to the training grounds where m
