KIMBERLY’S POVAfter all the trouble I had gone through, it was only to find out that the portal is closed. “What are we going to do at this point? The moon goddess has to be kidding us at this point.” Daniel said, with his hands on his waist.“I think we will have to go back to Rosa. She will know what to do. She is the only one I know here that knows about the supernatural as you would have noticed.” I suggested, feeling exhausted.“I hope she has a solution to our problem this time around.” He said and sighed, looking tired of everything. We went back to Rosa’s hut and she didn’t show any expression on her face as usual. I wondered what kind of woman she was and why she was this way.“Aren’t you surprised that we came back?” I asked out of curiosity.“Not really, because the string that is connecting both of us in this world has not been cut and that’s how I know that you have not left here. Why have you not left this world?” She asked, holding her staff firmly.“Well, the portal

KIMBERLY'S POVIn what seemed like half an hour, the pregnant woman came back with foodstuffs. Then she went straight to the little corner she used as her kitchen and then she placed the food items there and came back to us."I think we ought to have done the introduction thingy." She said, looking into our eyes."Oh! Forgive our manners. I am Kimberly and he is Daniel." I said, with a wide smile on my face. "Nice. I am Leah. So, I don't know what you guys may love to eat, so I bought a variety of things. What would you like to eat?" She tapped her hands on one of the chairs near us."No, it's fine. We are strangers here, we do not have a say in that. Give us anything you have, we'll appreciate it." Daniel said, with an awkward smile.I bet he was hoping it was something he would be able to eat. Leah smiled and went straight to her kitchen to cook and I followed her to offer help, but she didn't allow me to help her, so I went back to Daniel."Well, let's just allow her to do what sh

KIMBERLY’S POVFear gripped me as I thought that we were finally doomed. Things weren’t working in our favor at all and this was eating away at my heart in the form of depression. Does it mean that we were going to be trapped in this ghost house?“So, are you ready to do it? Think about the advantage of leaving this place, because it seems like you need to get out.” The third skeleton said in an expression that seemed like if she had a tongue and a lip, she was going to be licking her lips right now.“What the hell? Why would I do that? This is about us leaving this place together, it’s not cool if we do not leave this place together.” Daniel fired at her clenching his fist.“At times, you have to be selfish. If you keep trying to act like a saint, you will lose a lot and there is a high chance that you will die without achieving a thing.” She admonished as she leaned towards us.What was she trying to do? Was she trying to convince Daniel to kill me? Now, this was making me scared, b

DANIEL’S POVThe ridiculous contests they made us do, showed how dangerous this place was. Hearing that, I knew Kimberly would be worried as she had been losing most of the contests and was probably not even certain that she would win this one, either.“The contest is about to start now, so be prepared, because we can pick anyone from anywhere.” The first skeleton announced, looking excited to watch the death of people. The contest started and people were picked one by one and some people won and those who lost were shot dead, immediately. When it was my turn, I exhaled to relieve my tensed muscles. It was because death was the consequence of those who lose and that was the reason I was a bit tense because this isn’t something we can be unserious with as even our unseriousness could cost our lives. When the third skeleton kicked the ball towards me, I focused on the ball, with its unbelievably fast speed towards me. At first, it seemed as i

KIMBERLY’S POVBritney and I had talked for a long while and I must say, I was beginning to sympathize with her. Although, I wondered why such a nice girl would have such a rude whore of a sister. Then I looked down as I smiled at one of her compliments and that was when I saw her wrist, looking like it was decaying and that look rang a bell. Suddenly, I matched it to one of the scary creatures that do serve us food and I was right.I gasped in shock and quickly ran towards our room, to be certain Daniel was fine and when I got there, I saw Katherine trying to seduce Daniel again and then I rushed in and pushed her away in anger.“Stay away, you ugly creatures!” I screamed at her as I stared at her sharply.“What the hell do you mean?” She asked, angrily as she stood up.“What’s going on, Kimberly?” Daniel asked, looking confused.“She is that creature that does serve us worms and other slimy things,” I said, pointing my finger at her.“What!” He exclaimed as he looked at her.“How da
