Kayla. I screamed in pain and held on to my legs that were beginning to bleed. Almost immediately, I lost my strength and found myself falling to the ground. He had a worried look on his face as he lifted me and took me into his arms. “Drop me!” I muttered with the last strength I could find but he didn’t listen. He carried me hastily back into my room after which he started scattering everything and looking for something to stop the bleeding. I winced in pain when the pain shot through me, mumbling some inaudible words I barely understood. I was sweating profusely but at the same time, I was shivering. Something was wrong. Whosoever stabbed me had done so with something capable of killing me. I wasn’t feeling any better even if I was already making efforts to heal myself. Third person. Kayla opened her eyes slowly and met the worried gazes of the quad. They rushed to her in excitement and pulled her into a warm hug. “What happened to you? I was scared that you might have died”, Jake said, almost at the verge of tears. Kayla yawned softly as slight tears began forming in her eyes. She felt renewed and great to see her mates standing beside her. It’s been a long time she felt this manner of peace. “I’m not one to die easily. Trust me”, she explained just as they all laughed in relief. They spent the rest of the night together with Kayla, each of them telling her stories of all that happened during her absence.
