Anastasia's POV The lunch prepared is, with no exaggeration, a feast! There were all kinds of delightfully looking dishes that I don't even know existed. The best dish that I have ever tasted is a piece of chicken given to me by a vendor which I only seasoned and fried, the smell and look? Divine! The taste? Even better... but even that dish can't seem to even compare to the dishes on this long table. All varieties of meat like pork, beef, chicken, fish, and those expensive seashells are served with such enticing scent and look. There are even fresh fruits! "Would this be my last meal?" I unconsciously uttered All of them stopped in their tracks and looked at me, expressions different from one another. Dane looked at me as if he is weirded out by me, Sebastian looked like he is genuinely concerned with my way of thinking, and Rozen looked like he have lots of questions to ask "We already told you we won't kill you right?" said Sebastian

Anastasia's POV Rozen seems to be taken aback by my question. He thought briefly and seem to decide that hiding the answer from me would be the best idea. "You might not like the answer," he said with a somewhat sad smile "How sure are you?" I asked, provoking him "Just a thought" he shrugged before standing up. "You know I won't settle for that answer" I pried more "I know" he sighed and went back to sit beside me "Us, wolves, have this concept that a person would be forever bound to someone – a mate." he started explaining "And? There seems to be no problem with that. It actually seems romantic" I uttered "Mates will feel such strong attraction to their other half – what both of us are currently feeling with each other. It is like a predestined event that ignited predestined feelings" he said, calmly observing my reaction. "So we were only forced to be attracted

Anastasia's POV "Is she bluffing??! There is no information about rejected mates in the books I've seen. And what does she mean already rejected two? Mates are said to be extremely hard to come by!" I frustratingly pull my hair as I pace back in forth in my room. "But Rozen said that mates are a bond of forever right? So how can it be rejected? No... do I actually trust the words of that fake b*tch?" I continued to anxiously pace around the room. I don't even know nor do I understand why I am currently reacting like this. This whole overreaction isn't like me! No, actually all of these emotions whirling and causing havoc inside me are not like me at all! "Rozen told me that Camille is no one... I should probably wait for his explanation about the previous mates and put my trust in him" The trio are the only ones I personally know in this place. The only ones who seemed to actually care and give me warmth. If I would have to choo

Dane's POV "What a great day!" I cheerfully said as I stretched out my arms and inhaled the fresh scent of this beautiful day. "I would have agreed if not for your stinking breath polluting this place" a grumpy voice from behind me suddenly uttered. I faced Sebastian and speedily reached my hand out to punch his face which of course he easily avoided. This guy always comes and ruins such a peaceful and pleasant atmosphere. "I seriously just brushed my teeth!?" I bawled. "How? You are currently talking and attempting to punch me... There is also no toothbrush in sight" he sarcastically replied while putting emphasis on attempting. 'Now don't misunderstand! I'm not landing a punch because I can't but because I didn't want to! This guy is sensitive. I can't just make him question his worth as this pack's beta if I would easily beat him' "I know you are having such delusional thoughts that you are only d
