ESTHER’S POV "Scalpel," I requested, and the scrub nurse handed it over. I cut what I need to cut. This is my typical day: cutting and suturing, seeing blood and human flesh. My colleagues refer to me as Esth, which is short for Esther. In my 29 years of life, I didn't anticipate winding up being a doctor, specifically a surgeon. At first, I was frightened of doing all of this; it wasn't really my choice, but my mother is a die-hard doctor who aspired to be, and it is her long-lost goal! My entire day ends with a sick body and blood on my hands. Then, after cutting and suturing, I can finally relax and get home. I don’t have a boyfriend, as if! Do I have enough time to acquire one with my current schedule? Geez! Even being laid is not part of my life, so RIP, vagina! Even if I wish to socialize with anyone, I abandon that goal because it always ends badly! I often try to date anyone and everyone! But what can I do when my profession calls? Can I ask the sick person to wait? Or

ESTHER’S POV "You are gorgeous, more than any girl I have been with. Your kiss shook me within. You don't need a man to feel that you are not alone. Look, I am a woman, but I am the one with you right now." I know I'm a little tipsy now, but I still understand what she's saying. I can even recall her friends asking me a lot of questions, even though they looked nice, and her pad; I had no idea she had such a large place to live in, but she's alone, and that's all I should know! Listening to what she just said causes me to stare at her. I mean, she is so sweet. I have been single for a long time, and hearing this from someone will undoubtedly make my pants drop! I try to distract myself from what I am thinking by touching her face. I found up staring at her lips, and only later did I realize we were kissing. My thoughts are gushing out, so I must be quite intoxicated! What the fuck am I doing? Am I really single enough to kiss a woman? My head is attempting to deny, but my body a

ESTHER’S POV Seeing Amber makes me feel something again, but I must admit that things are no longer the same... Feeling dizzy and fatigued, I still need to get up and go to my duty, two main operations and a few minors. I try to skip the work for today, but something inside me tells me I need to be productive! When I arrived at the hospital, I checked the details to determine who my patient was... "Dolly Holist" I'm trying to figure out why the name is familiar to me, until my cellphone alerts me to a message from Amber... Fuck! It is Amber's grandmother! "Esth, grandma was brought to your emergency yesterday night with a stomach problem; I hope you will check on her, please, since I am still at work overnight—Amber " So I am accurate, it is her grandma, and I quickly find her room to check on her. "What is Dolly Holist's room?" "305 doc!" "Okay, thanks." I enter the room and see Dolly in that state, yet I can still see the enthusiasm in her face. "Hey Doll, how are you f

ESTHER'S POVI'm not sure if our friendship is for the best or not, but with Amber's earnest expression, how can I disagree with what she wants?"I am not going anywhere, Amber, and just so you know, we lost each other, so it’s even.""About that, how are you after our breakup?""Wow, you really wanted to know, huh...""Well, now that we're friends, I suppose we're free to ask each other questions."I'm stunned at how casual she was about this friendship.“Fine! Well, I haven't been in a relationship since you came into my life, so I can know the difference, but to tell you how I felt after, I cried a lot, buried myself in work, and hung out with every man and woman I met! ""Hearing that from you makes me think if I am still talking to the same Esther before or if she has been upgraded!""What? Upgraded? Hahaha, do I look like a mobile phone? People change, and I believe that change makes us stronger.”"It seems you really love that change, and it suits you.""Hmm, you like who I am n

ESTHER'S POVEntrusting me with someone? It's not good for my ear, but I'm thinking otherwise; she appears to be excusing herself for not even following the three-month rule breakup guideline!I asked her a question that appears to stop her, but she eventually begins to speak."Hold on, don't get me wrong, I didn't say it to excuse myself, okay? I am sincere and worried about you, and yes, I am wondering why I got into another relationship so quickly, but how can you blame me? I fell in love with her unexpectedly."She said, and I completely understand; I guess I'm just complicating things because I don't know…hmmm…"Fine, knowing that it's not just an excuse is enough for me, and you don't have to worry; I have plenty of time to flirt and go on blind dates, okay!""Just make it right.""Hmm, why? Are you sure having Casey as your girlfriend means you did the right thing?"I said, and then there she is, staring strangely at me again! I can see her surprise every time I ask her a questi
