MAEVE’S POVI felt Alpha Zane’s uncertainty and fear exactly the moment I got his message and I wished I could do something to take his fears away. Before I opened the text messages I got from Charlotte and Alpha Zane, I took some time to ponder on whether I should block Alpha Zane from getting access to my thoughts.I know we promised each other that neither of us would do that, but I wasn't sure I could hold back myself from thinking about what Patricia did any longer.I knew if I thought about it, he would know immediately and I didn't want anything to distract him. Therefore, I decided to block him from my thoughts hoping he wouldn’t have the time to notice. After that, I opened Alpha Zane’s message first and read through it with a smile on my face as I read it.He was asking me how we were doing and if we had arrived Waning Moon pack. After I replied to him telling him that everything was fine and we hadn’t arrived yet, I then opened Charlotte’s message and saw that she was inform

ZANE’S POVTo say I was shocked when this dude standing in front said he was Maeve’s brother would be an understatement.I was utterly dumbfounded as Khal, Damien and I looked at ourselves while the dude just stood in front of us smiling.“Surprised right?” He asked me and then laughed out loud.At that moment, it was difficult to read him because it seemed like he was laughing out of amusement and I wondered what was amusing.“How can you say you are Maeve’s brother? You look younger than her and the time of the fight happened when she was just a child,” Damien spelled out, making Khal and I nod our heads in agreement.“All these years we have been living in hiding. You all thought you wiped the whole Crescent Moon pack but how does it feel now to realize we survived?” Billy asked us with a calm look on his face even though his brows were now raised. How they were still alive was still a mystery to me.“How did you get the Orb?” I asked him instead of answering his question. He looke

MAEVE’S POVWhen I stepped out of the room, Maggie cheered and asked me to spin around.“Wow, you look amazing!! Just how a Luna should look,” Maggie said and winked at me, making me blush.“You look beautiful too. You look like a princess,” I said as I admired her dress and perfect makeup.“What? No!! I’m supposed to look like a Luna since I'm after all going to be one soon,” She whined and faked a pout, making Alpha Kelvin wrap his hand around her waist, which made her smile. The smile on my face faltered when I heard she would soon become Luna.I knew that initially, our plan was for Alpha Kelvin to announce that his mate was Maggie. But thinking about it now, I felt sad knowing the mean words that would be said about her and it could cause a controversy.“Can you just hold off on announcing her ceremony?” I asked Alpha Kelvin, making them give me confused looks.“Don’t get me wrong, I mean no harm. It's just that, now that Alpha Zane has the Orb and is on his way to your pack as w

ZANE’S POVHearing all that Aradia said made me reminisce about when I would pass my dad and Mom’s bedroom and hear my mom crying while saying words I couldn't fathom to my dad.But whenever they were in the company of others, they would act as though nothing was happening. They also tried their best to bring Patricia and I up in the best and moral way possible. It was difficult turning a blind eye to the fact that all wasn’t well with my parent’s marriage back then. Something I had forgotten about until now. That was why I decided to treat my future mate better whenever the time came. And so far I was trying my best to do just that. But hearing what Aradia said my Dad did to her.I wasn’t sure if I should believe her because my dad whom I knew wasn’t that callous.I didn't know the main reason why my parents were having issues when I was a child.I wasn't sure if my dad used to beat my mom and that was why she was always crying whenever I passed their room.He was always calm and a m

ZANE’S POVI was shocked when I saw what Maeve tried to do.For a moment I froze in thoughts as I looked at the contempt in her eyes when she tried to claw her way into my heart. She looked very different as though something had possessed her.It had to be that, because my Maeve would never attempt to kill me.Was it a crime that I was born into the Whitlock family? For a moment I began to think about what my life would be like if I wasn't born into the family of the Alpha King and Maeve wasn’t born into the family of the Alpha of Crescent Moon pack.Maybe, just maybe we would have been living happily and content with each other.By the time I snapped out of my thoughts, Maeve was already running out of the room.I called out to her but she didn’t respond, rather she just ran out of the room.I knew she was devastated and it hurt me to see her that way.I also knew that she would begin overthinking again. That was why I got down from bed and wanted to chase after her but an excruciati
