Shane looked at Jessamine in surprise. "Did you order pizza?"Jessamine got up and went toward the door. "Let's have a look."The door swung open. When Jessamine saw the man standing outside the door, she suddenly felt her heart constricting in her chest. She'd only found peace for a few days, and now, her heart was racing once more."What are you doing here?""You have the guts to ask me that question? Is it appropriate for a married woman to live with single men? Come home with me.""A married woman? Don't you think I'm no longer that? We've agreed to divorce. Let's just settle the divorce by tomorrow."She didn't want to drag it out any longer. However, Thaddeus ignored her ramble completely. He forcefully picked her up and carried her out of the house. Then, he called out to Jordan and said, "Go in and bring out all of her suitcases."He said so in a dominating and overbearing tone."You bastard! Put me down this instant!"Jessamine kicked and struggled in Thaddeus' arms.

Jessamine flinched and felt the goosebumps traveling down her neck and spreading all over her body. "Mr. Holt, we're getting divorced. We shouldn't sleep in the same room anymore or share the same blanket. Please go back to your master's bedroom. The guest bedroom bed is too hard for your body."Jessamine's voice was shaky as she reminded him of their upcoming divorce. She was really afraid that he would do inappropriate things to her."I thought you liked it when we shared a blanket."There was a teasing tone in Thaddeus' voice. Jessamine felt her face heating up. It felt like a literal slap to her face because he wasn't wrong. For the first few months of their marriage, Thaddeus seldom returned to Jardin Estate but spent the night at his other houses instead. She did everything she could to get him to spend the night with her. She'd even gone as far as to put on kinky lingerie to coax him home. She had wanted to be with him in the past as she always missed him. She had also be

"Noah? What are you doing here?"Noah was sitting on the living room couch with one leg crossed over the other. He was sipping on a mug of coffee while waiting for her. This was also his first time at Jordin Estate."You're awake, Madam Jessamine. Mr. Thomas said he missed you this morning and wanted you to stay in Holt Manor for a few days, so he asked me to bring you there."It was Joe speaking. Noah just nodded and said, "I'm just here on Father's orders."The pot of coffee was almost empty. It looked as if they had been waiting for her all day.Jessamine blushed. She quickly asked Lana, "Why didn't you wake me up to tell me we had guests?"Lana coughed softly and said embarrassedly, "Mr. Holt purposely told me to let you continue sleeping until you woke up on your own. He said that he, uhh, tired you out last night."Jessamine frowned when she heard this. What kind of perverted sentence was that? They hadn't done anything of the sort last night! Why did he have to go and

The slap was loud and clear. Five red fingerprints appeared instantly on Sasha's face. She was slapped silly. Since she was young, she had been the apple of everyone's eye. Nobody had smacked her, slapped her, or even raised their voice at her. And to think that her first slap came from Thomas, the kindest, most well-respected person in the Holt family!Sasha's eyes widened as she stared at Thomas in disbelief. She was so shocked that she even forgot to cry."This slap is to remind you that the Holt family does not tolerate unruly behavior like yours. You should also keep in mind never to meddle with your brother and sister-in-law's relationship. It's high time you fixed this shitty behavior of yours. Otherwise, you're going to regret it someday."Sasha drew her lips in a thin line and felt like she wanted to cry, but she didn't dare to. Her face was still burning with pain.Thomas was truly furious. At that very same moment, the hatred Sasha had for Jessamine just increased tenf

Jessamine shook her head."We've already signed the divorce papers. There's no need to tell him anymore. It's not like he doesn't have other children to worry about."This was too much information for Melissa to take in at once. Melissa's jaw dropped."He has other children? Bastard kids?""Something like that, but he'll be able to bring that kid home to Holt Manor very soon."Jessamine supposed Thaddeus would marry Amy and bring her home in all her glory as soon as their divorce was finalized. After all, the baby bump in Amy's tummy should be visible very soon. And Thomas had been hoping for a grandchild of his own for such a long time. Jessamine couldn't help feeling bitter about it.When she returned to Holt Manor, she caught sight of Thaddeus' shiny Bentley in the garage. He was back.Jessamine parked and entered the manor. Thaddeus was standing at the floor-to-ceiling windows, making a phone call with his back to the door. His silhouette against the window made him look c
