NOWSAAFIA’S POV:-Wow… I had no words to respond. After knowing that he knew me for longer than I perceived, my mind went blank. Eyes popped with countless perceptions and bewildered emotions stacking inside me.“The image of a cruel person you created… back then… and the rumors I had heard about you… I... I find it hard to believe.” I spoke vaguely, taking too many pauses because back then I had only seen him as- ‘My boyfriend’s heartless Boss.’“Are you kidding me?” I asked again, narrowing my eyes in suspicion. He didn’t prefer my response in the slightest and frowned, holding his side to stand assertively before me.“Do I look like I am joking?” His serious voice came as we had a staring competition for the next few minutes while I was in a daze on how to react.“All this time… you… Why didn’t you approach me before?” I asked in bafflement, tilting my head in confusion. My steps retreated, I almost chuckled to hear all this because to me it sounded so surreal that I found it h

I lost my capability to react at this point. My chest was tingingling constantly yet I couldn’t bring myself to look at him anymore. A flame of anguish was burning inside me.The more I saw Dariel, the more it pricked me.‘Why did have to be him? And me, I fell in love with a man who hit my father and was never punished for his actions.’ I thought miserably. After spending the night in the other room, I refused to come out until Dariel came and knocked on the door.“Saafia, please, listen to me…” Closing my eyes, a sting traveled to my core. Having no words to explain my disheartened sensation. Abruptly, everything I began to imagine began to blaze.“Don’t ignore me like this. I can’t bear it. Please, I am sorry, I know I should have told you before but I…” He pleaded with me.My chest clenched with an unbearable heaviness. Narrowing my eyes in rage, I opened the door furiously, glaring at his remorseful eyes which could no longer help me.“Do you realize you are the man who put my f

I never perceived my life would be this incomplete and painful without you, Saafia. A few hours without you in this empty place was too painful for me.‘Please don’t leave me like this. Come to me, my love, please…’I wish you could have stopped and listened to my heart’s condition but you didn’t and now how could I possibly tell you that I was not your culprit?“Dammit…” Cursing, I was on the ground, resting my back against the bed in the messy room as I gave Ian the job to find out who the hell casted his wrong eyes on my home. Before reaching out to Saafia, I would deal with that person in the worst way to show him his place. With tears glistening in my eyes, my phone rang as I hastily picked the call, “Yes, Ian? Did you find out?”“Uh.. Sir…” He paused worriedly.“Tell me, dammit.” I growled, not in the mood to hear hesitations.“It’s Sam.” He blurted out, boiling me in utter rage to perceive he crossed his limits and went too far in his blind rage to test my last straw. Why wa

Failing to bear his presence, I was in the room. Pressing my palm against my chest, no matter what, he was the man I had given my heart.Leaving him was too difficult for me, especially after his confession.‘How would I convince this heart of mine?’ Thinking with agony, I took rapid breaths until I recognized his footsteps outside my room.“Saafia,” His soft resonance called me.Closing my eyes, the creaking sound of the door being closed reached me. I didn’t dare to turn until his tall form was behind me with a keen gaze.“Leave, Dariel, please.” I whispered those words so weakly that they faded before they could reach him.He couldn’t hear and held my shoulders, making me turn to him. Sniffling, I opened my eyes. The time where I was devastated and when my heart blindly devoted itself to him flashed before my eyes.“Dariel,”Calling him desperately, I wanted him to clear this confusion inside me and help me get over this state.Bringing his big hands from my shoulder to my hands, h

After Mama left, I was pacing around the sequestered place stressfully. Holding my sides, my sleeves were rolled roughly, opened a few buttons of my shirt with scattered hairs.“Dammit!” Cursing loudly from rage, I punched my car, gritting my teeth from utter dismay and consternation. We were stuck in a horrible situation. I didn’t know what to do, my mind had ceased to function and I was left with no choice but to call my most trusted man.“Ian?”“Yes, Sir?” He yawned, probably sleeping as it was midnight.Taking rapid breaths, I endeavored to regain my sensations and called him desperately, “I need your help. I will send you my location. Come here.”“At this hour? O-Okay.”Panicking at my sudden call and my shaky voice, he got worried too and dashed to my side as soon as possible. Afraid, anxious, when he came, I vaguely told him, pointing at the blood on my car.“What have you done, Boss?!” He gasped in disbelief, inspecting the condition of my car, clearly indicating that it hit
