Chapter 31

Evelyn's POV Upon getting out of the room, the guards tried to stop me but there's no way I'm letting that happen.“So I shouldn't have my bath?’’ I frowned angrily. “There's a bathroom in the Alpha's bedroom” That stupid first guard replied. Gosh! I've grown to hate him so much, from the very first day they threw me in the dungeon. He was so lousy.“So now you are saying I should use the Alpha's bathroom? As what, his Luna?’’ I asked again. He opened his mouth to speak but I guess he couldn't find the right words to spit out. I scoffed in disbelief and almost walked away but they blocked my way again.“I'm sorry Miss but that is what the Alpha ordered, we can't violate it.’’ The second one spoke and if not for the anger brewed in me, I would have listened.“So what should I do then? Use the Alpha's bathroom?” I yelled out in anger.“Yeah, you may use it if you wish. He'll understand.’’ He answered.“And also wear his robe when I'm done?’’ I asked in a haunting tone. They remai

Chapter 32

Evelyn's POV “No, Devon didn't threaten to kill you,” He said more like a doubtful question and I nodded.“He didn't say exactly but it seems like it.” I answered, still trying to release myself from his grip.“Well no one is here okay? The maids are all in his office, they were summoned by him for a meeting.’’ He assured and realization hit me. “But…Mei. She saw us'’ I said shakily and he squinted. “Did he ask everyone to keep you away from me too?” “I...I don't know. The guards back at his…’’“Shhh. He only told them become he didn't want me entering his room when you were alone’’ He cut me off and I swallowed, nodding my head even if I was not so convinced. “But why don't you feel anything towards me huh? Tell me. What do you feel right now?’’ He seemed eager to know. What does he mean by feeling anything towards him? Did he mean love or what? No it can't be. How was I expected to love him? But what then do I feel if it was not love, why did I feel this way? The way I did wh

Chapter 33

Alpha Devon's POV I let out a short groan in relaxation as I sat, reaching for the seat belt and locked myself in with it. The guard shut the door behind me and made for the driver's seat, I took only one guard with me this time.I decided to visit the company today and distract myself from the whole depressing air in the castle. Their (Luther and Evelyn) crazy dramas had been swirling in my head, especially each time I walked through the passageway. I couldn't just get it out of my head, it got me annoyed to the core. Why won't Luther just reject her and let us get past it? So vulnerable. Why would he want to make such a low poor thing his Luna? Why did she even have to get mated to one of us? We shouldn't be this ill-fated. A loud sigh found its way out through my lips and I fell back to the chair, different thoughts weaving past my head. She is really not that bad. She's got a nice shape, one any able man would kill to have a taste of. I really should not blame Luther much

Chapter 34

Evelyn's POV “Hey,’’ I called to one of the guards by my door. ‘‘Help me get rid of these please.’’ I stated, handing him the tray of empty plates. I went back in and shut the door, resting my back on it. This whole thing was getting really boring. How was I supposed to remain here until God knows when?I groaned out tiredly and made for the bed. The Alpha even had to put guards by my door to stop me from leaving my room, how do I escape then? I definitely can't stay here and have my child, if I really wanted to avoid a bad life for him or her. I would be better off as a stranger in some other pack, working as a laborer for the pack members to take care of my child than as a bloody hated prisoner in this place. I don't want her/him to suffer, they might even get poisoned by these maids. Talk more talk of if it was a boy, he would literally get killed before he got to toddler age. In fact what was I saying? I might even die with the pregnancy because their hatred for me would

Chapter 35

Evelyn's POV I woke up to the sounds of birds chirping and an unusual noise in the castle. I climbed down my bed and went to the bathroom to wash my face. I heard a knock on my door and I turned off the tap to go check who it was.“Hey, I'm here to help dress you up” Mei's face came as I opened the door and I frowned. I walked away from the door to sit on my bed and she came in, shutting the door close behind her.“You should go and have your bath.’’ I heard her say and I almost rolled my eyes at her. ‘‘What's the occasion this time?’’ I asked without looking at her.“I guess the Alpha wants you among his escorts to the pack square'’ She answered and I turned to face her.“What does that mean?’’ “He is going for the annual Alpha's get-together meeting.’’ She said,“Yes, I know that,’’ I answered, signifying to her to continue her explanation. “Some pack members usually escort him to the square, it happens in every pack. Some of the pack members are in the castle already, awaitin

Chapter 36

Evelyn's POV ~Night~I paced from the window back to my room door, leaning closely to the door with my ears. I needed to be sure that no one was approaching. Even though I already had dinner and I had ordered the guards not to let anyone into my room again. I still couldn't help the thought that someone might barge in to the room.I could not risk anything. If I should get caught it only spelled doom for me. I would literally rot in the dungeon, with my baby at that. I could not let that happen, so I needed to be really cautious, no slight mistake must be made. I hurriedly tiptoed back to the window. The cool night breeze brushing against my body hairs through the window raised a tinge of anxiety in me and the whole escape stuff began to freak me out.I stood before the window, looking down at the quiet environment. Everyone was in their houses, having family and personal times with each other. I clutched my stomach slowly as the thought of finally having a family hit me. It w

Chapter 37

Evelyn's POV I turned back sharply but I couldn't find anyone. I perceived different weird scents of wolves and it occurred to me that they were rogues. They must have heard my screams and growls and decided to come after me, knowing well that it was my first transformation and I was not strong enough yet. I took to my heels immediately, running speedily along the forest with a whole new sense of nature in my system. I ducked and weaved through branches as I ran, occasionally leaping over logs of wood and other woodland creatures. It felt so good to finally experience being in my wolf form; the speed, the energy, the sharp sight and even the deep hearing. It all felt so energetic and out of this world. I couldn't help wanting this to continue forever. My thoughts were cut short when I heard a shrill growl from behind and my heart began pounding.“Focus, run faster.” I heard myself speak against my chest and it dawned on me that my wolf was Blair and I was now inside of her, on

Chapter 38

Evelyn's POV I opened my eyes to a pure white ceiling above me. Its designs were beautiful and alluring. No doubt, I had never seen such in my whole life. I tried sitting up but suddenly, a sharp pain came from my right shoulder. I let out a painful whimper immediately and fell back to the bed. Just then, I heard quick footsteps approaching me.“Oh, she's awake'’I heard the owner of the footsteps say. I tried to turn my head to see who it was but he had started walking away. Even from his back view, I could tell that he was not familiar to me in any way. What was going on? Where was I? I thought in my head. I looked over at my shoulder and noticed it was bandaged, then memories came flooding in my head. From how I had crashed the shoulder on the huge tree to how I had been chased by those rogues and then how I tripped and fell down a cliff in the forest. I swallowed hard, looking around me. Could the rogues have caught me and brought me to their house? How….My thoughts were

Chapter 39

Alpha Luther's POV I raised my brows at her statement. Was she trying to tease me right now? “What…do you mean?’’ I asked to be sure. She maintained eye contact with me for a while before shifting her gaze to my lips. Slowly, she leaned in with each space as she came closer and ignited crazy sparks in me. She finally closed the space between us as she took my lips in hers. She pulled me to herself and I grabbed her waist, responding rhythmically and eagerly to the pace that she set. I savored every single flavor her lips had to offer. The thought that nothing could interrupt us this time made this even more exciting.I could not believe I finally had her and she was right in my arms. She moaned sweetly into my mouth. Her seductive moans sent chilling sparks down to my member. If I continued like this now, there was no way it would end here.I pulled away from her immediately though I did it reluctantly. “Evelyn…” I called, catching my breath. She refused to let go of my ne

Chapter 40

Evelyn's POV I stared continuously at Alpha Luther's mark on my neck with a crazy smile playing around on my lips. I came into the bathroom about five minutes ago to take my bath but all I had done was stare into the mirror. I felt fulfilled, finally seeing my mate’s mark on me. It all felt like some pleasant dream I never wished to awaken from. The mark kept reminding me of Alpha Luther's affectionate attitude towards me last night, it was pretty much the highlight of my life. I had never had anything better. His skin against mine sent electrifying shocks through me, I became damn wet without him even trying. I think it was all the mate bond, playing dirty tricks on my sensitivity. I could not withstand the burning love and affection in his eyes each time I looked at him, it bored into my soul. His strength was so sexy. I enjoyed every bit of his nature works, in my body. He took me to fairy world level of pleasure that I had previously never knew existed, I couldn't help wa
