บททั้งหมดของ My Alpha Stepbrothers Are Mine: บทที่ 131 - บทที่ 140

SUMMERIt had been a week since Pascal kidnapped me. After that night, we drove Fred back to his house, and the hunters took Pascal and Nelly's body to the morgue. Storm drove me back to the hospital and Jeremy offered to keep an eye on me. Not that he offered to do that. He stood his ground stubbornly and refused to leave my side.He didn't want a repeat of what happened that afternoon and was hell-bent on staying with me all day, neglecting his health. I let him be when I discovered he wasn't leaving my side like he promised. He was stubborn about that, showing he had no intentions of going anywhere, even if it killed him. With his hawk-like eyes following me everywhere I went, I couldn't check the paper I got from Nelly and opted to keep it until I had the chance to open it.My mates were yet to wake from their comatose state. Though they had regained their skin colour, they were yet to open their eyes. Each day, the nurses give them fluid through the IV drip. To sustain them, she

Mitch gritted his teeth, looking at me as if he couldn't think of what to do at the moment. The way his eyes narrowed at me made it seem like he wanted to snap my head off at any minute.“It turned out Fred was the one all along. He —”“Fred?” Miles scoffed. “Are you certain Nelly told the truth? What if she had a vendetta with him before her death? It couldn't just be. The Fred I know is not only clumsy but timid. There is no way in fucking hell he would be the one causing havoc.” “That's true,” Mitch supported. “He couldn't have done that. You must be mistaken. Fred is too much of a scaredy-cat to do something like this.”Mike nodded at their words, agreeing to it. I wouldn't blame them, though. Just like them, I didn't believe Fred could do something like this. However, after spending half the day with him, I realized there was more to him than met the eye.“I doubt you know Fred as much as you think you do. You only know the part he wants you to, and not the real him,” I argued,

I checked my reflection in the mirror. The indigo-blue long-wrap dress was a fit. I guessed it would seem big on me, but it wasn't. It fits like gloves. The baby bump was hidden. Unless you knew what you were looking at, you wouldn't know I was pregnant. Though I wasn't used to long-sleeved gowns, I didn't feel as uncomfortable as I thought I would feel since I was used to short-sleeved sleeves.I paired the gown with my silver sandals. I bought those during my years in the human world. They were part of my silver shoe collection. The silver earrings I wore sparkled as the light from my bulb hit it at a particular angle. That was the only accessory I wore. I wasn't going for an overkill, not like I did a week ago when I thought we were going out for a date. I wasn't as excited as I was on that day, scared something bad might happen should I show my happiness. I wanted everything to go well, which was why I stifled my feelings. “Are you ready, princess?” Mitch knocked on the door,

We visited the museum next. Thankfully, there was a museum assistant who was there to tell us about the paintings and sculptures. Mitch didn't have to drone about different histories like he would have done. From the way he kept on glaring at the attendant, you could tell he wasn't happy someone had taken his job. It was funny as hell, but I didn't laugh, not wanting to let him know we could identify how he was feeling. I bet he had researched everything, and knew the history of hand, ready to tell us all the things he knew and boast about it to his brothers. I also felt bad for him. Throughout the walk, he looked tensed, not his usual self. Everything I did to cheer him up didn't do much. He kept his face straight, like one whose pet got knocked down by an overspeeding car. “She doesn't know half of the histories!” He grumbled when we got to the car, turning to shoot a glare at the museum. “Who would have thought they would give us an attendant like this? If only I asked about th

It was my first time seeing him climb, and it was so good. I felt proud of my mate, who looked like nothing in the world could stop him from doing the things he wished to do. “Go!”Mitch glanced down with a smile, his eyes cringing at the side. He blew a kiss at me before he resumed climbing. He was fast, acting like he had done this a ton of times. Looking at him, I wondered if there were things my mates could do that I didn't know about. Like climbing. I haven't seen them climb before. Watching Mitch, I could tell he knew what he was doing. “Summer!” I turned at the call, to see my other mates running towards me, with scared looks on their faces. I turned to look at Mitch, who had gotten to the yelling lady. His expression wasn't pleasant. He was trying to take me away to a place where we would be the only ones. Looking at him now, he looked like he was barely seconds from murdering his brothers. They got to me, breathing heavily like they had run miles to get to me when it was
