I stare at them disbelievingly. "Ooh, That doesn't look good." A mocking voice says.I turn around and Diana looking like the devil herself clad in a long red evening gown, her lips the color of blood, her hair done up beautifully. She looked regal, she had the same sister smile she had that night which sent shivers down my spine once again. "Good evening Emily, enjoying the evening?""Yes I am, "I say keeping my composure. I refuse to look weak in front of her. "Aren't you going to go after them?" She asks, I continue to look at her not saying anything. She comes dangerously close to my ear "I wouldn't anyways if I were you, they're meant for each other after all. You're only getting in the way, you know?" "You're just how do I put it, collateral damage", from what I can see." She says. "Let me ask you one thing Emily, haven't you always wondered how your father and Giovanni met?" She asks. "He worked for my father in the past... Although, I don't know what type of relations

"We'll leave in three days" Giovanni emerges from outside. "So soon. I thought this time you'd stay longer" Roselyn says. "We have to get going, we can't stay here for long, be says as we enter back inside. We have dinner and Roselyn shows us to the room where we would stay. I process the fact that I have to share a bedroom with him for the first time ever as soon as I see the bedroom. My mind becomes flooded from memories of that night. "You can use the shower if you want dear" Roslyn suggest in a kindly voice. She then gives me a knowing look. She looks between I and Giovanni as we were awkward with each other. "Oh for Goodness sake stop acting like virgin couples. You're acting like you've never had sex before, Giovanni, remember Samantha, Evelyn... Camila" She says putting emphasis on Camila's name. My eyes widen in surprise and Giovanni clears his throat looking pointedly at her. She giggles and I smile, I had never heard an old woman giggle. "Oops. I'll get going now. Make

I stare at my mother's lifeless body, it felt like I was in a nightmare that I wasn't waking up from.Wake up mom, please. Please wake up. I cradle her and touch her cheek, it was cold. Her lifeless eyes stared back at me and the image would haunt me for the rest of my life. My heart ached, I just wanted my mom to wake up. Giovanni holds me tightly and I feel his steady heartbeat on my cheek. I get up and stare at my bloodstained hands and look up at his shirt which was now stained with blood. "What are you planning?" Giovanni asks looking at me carefully. "Whatever you're planning to do, don't do it, just calm down Emily""Calm down, don't tell me to calm down, they killed my mother" I yell. I was angry and I blamed myself, I should have protected her, What was happening? Why are these things happening to me. I suddenly remember the threat my mother said she had received. What if it's connected. Whoever killed my mother is still out there and is waiting to kill me. Well they can c

Giovanni leads me out of the bathroom. Clark gets up as he sees us approach the place. I still had doubts about him and everything that was going on but I would trust Giovanni, it seemed like he was the only person I could trust right now. He is after all my husband. He was the only family I had left. "Did she call the police?" He asks. The tension in the air is palpable, and I can't help but wonder what Clark knows and what Giovanni is still hiding from me. "I'll take her home," Giovanni says to him, he nods his head and looks at me. "Take care, Emily," He says to me as I and Giovanni walk out of the restaurant with Giovanni holding me so close, I thought he would crush me as I entered his car, the bodyguards scoured every corner and when they were sure that we weren't being watched, we journeyed back to his home. Once we reached the mansion and I got out of the car, a feeling of sadness washed over me, if only I had listened to Giovanni, I should have made sure Mom and I went back

I was able to stop Reynolds from acting on his threat to Leonard. I resumed work and it seemed things were back to normal but that was not the case. In fact, things were far from normalMy mother was dead, my father is allegedly a drug lord and a criminal and who knows other nefarious deeds he had done and I'm a target of people I don't even know of. Giovanni's hiding something from me.And the fact that Reynolds reveals that whoever I called that day wasn't a part of them. So who did I talk to? How is that even possible?
