When he was done, he packed his things and left.I couldn't bother seeing him off so the cook did that. When she was back, she prepared something for Winnifred to eat once she woke up.We both stayed on either side of her bed as we watched her, none of us willing to disrupt her sleep by waking her up.Few minutes later, the cook slept off and it was just me.
