“I take it you're already working on getting the shareholder's vote,” Reginald inquired. “Yes I am, but some are being very stubborn,” Christian told his father. “Find a way to handle them, and I'll do my part,” Reginald said. “Our family’s votes will give you forty-five percent of the votes, find a way to get the remaining five percent,” he told his son as if the voting ended up in a tie, Christian would remain the CEO. “Mom did come with you, this time?” Christian raised an eyebrow as knowing his mother, she would have been there as well. “She's still trying to sort out her feelings,” Reginald informed Christian, reminding him of what he had not told Mabel. Before Christian could say anything, Reginald's phone beeped as he had received a message, and Christian saw his father's eyes darken when he read whatever had been sent to him. “What happened?” He asked his father curiously. “Why not see for yourself,” Reginald stated as he gave Christian his phone. A frown also a

When Christian and Mabel arrived at the company, they were met by three shareholders and when Mabel turned to look at Christian, she saw that he had a cold expression on his face.“They are the ones who want to get me out of power,” He quickly explained to her as the shareholders walked up to them.“You're late, Christian. Is this what you portray to your workers?” one of the men said to him.“Ambrose, it’s been ages, what brings you here?” Christian asked.“Oh you know, I’ve come to have a look at how the company is being run by you,” Ambrose answered with a smile on his face.“That’s shocking, I thought you'd already know seeing as you called a meeting to fire me as the CEO,” Christian smiled. “I wonder who the incompetent one here is.”The smile on Ambrose's face immediately got wiped off. “This is why you should be stripped of your title,” he scowled.“Because I wondered if you were incompetent?” Christian raised an eyebrow. “Because you're an arrogant and spoiled brat who had ev

The receptionist tried to look at what was going on inside but Nala had made sure that wouldn’t happen. “Where are your manners? I’m here and you’re trying to see what’s going on inside?” she hissed in disbelief.“Something important came up, I wish to speak to…”“If you’re blind and can’t tell, we’re in the middle of something and you’re interrupting it. So unless you want to get fired by a very angry boss and get blacklisted by the other man in there who is fuming in anger, I suggest you return to your desk and stay there until we are done.”Without waiting for a response, Nala slammed the door in her face and she locked it. “You bitch I’m going to kill you!” John growled when Dorian removed his hand from his mouth.“To do that you’ll have to get through him and seeing your state, I doubt that’s going to happen,” Nala mocked as she walked over to his desk and placed the divorce papers on it.“Now I know you won’t sign this so easily but here’s the thing, until the day you sign it, y

“Is he in?” Dorian asked when he got outside Christian’s office“Yes, he’s waiting for you,” Mabel affirmed, and Dorian immediately headed inside the office.“You’re here,” Mabel said to Nala.“We had just left John’s office when Christian called,” Nala told Mabel.“We’ll talk about that later. Right now, those two are on a ticking time bomb,” Mabel sighed.“What do you mean, he’s gotten all the shareholders on his side?” Dorian interrogated as soon as he entered Christian’s office.“You tell me, you were supposed to be investigating the situation,” Christian fired at Dorian.“I was, and nothing of such came up. I talked to the shareholders, and they gave good signs that they were on your side!” Dorian defended himself. “But they did say they would have preferred if you had come to them yourself.”“Well, you didn’t do a very thorough job!” Christian yelled. “The reports I got tell me that Ambrose had been meeting every one of them for years now, and he has managed to convince them.”

“What do you think the chances are?” Christian asked Mabel as Rufus drove them past the gates of his mansion. It had been a very exhausting day as they had to visit a lot of shareholders and what was tiring was the fact that he had to pretend to actually care.“I can't say for sure but I think we should have been able to get the five percent you need,” Mabel guessed and she yawned as she was exhausted mainly because she did all the talking as Christian was not to be trusted. She turned to look at him when she felt him hold her hand. “Thank you,” he said to her and he meant it as if it was up to him, well, the day would have definitely ended badly.“You don't need to thank me, you've done more for me,” she smiled just as they arrived at his mansion.“Now, to talk about what happened between you and Dorian,” Mabel said as they entered the mansion.Christian groaned as he knew that Mabel had been waiting all day to lecture him on the subject. “Can we talk about this later?” He requested
