~Rhys’ POV~Felza pushed the door open and dashed in, rushing to the closet to start packing our bags. Confused, I ran towards her and pulled her hands, holding her in place, “Felza, what's going on?” I asked, cupping her cheeks, “Are you okay?” “No.” she breathed, trembling as she returned back to the closet, “We need to leave this place.” she yelled, focusing on packing up our things, and I let out a small chuckle, baffled. Taking a few steps towards her, I wrapped my arms around her waist, trying to calm her down and understand what she was trying to say. But Felza was losing it. Her chest was rising and falling as she packed my bags clumsily. She flipped her attention to me, “I know the fight with the beast is tomorrow, but we're going to have to leave tonight.” “Tonight?” I asked, wriggling my brows, “Felza, can you just calm down and tell me what's going on?” I asked, placing my palm on my forehead, “I already told you there's no going back for me. I have to do this.” “It's

~Rhys’ POV~Alpha Elias' actions bothered me greatly, and at a point, I regret not listening to my Luna's words. The loud growls of the werewolves in the dungeon, their howl of pain, and their wounded bodies made me furious. However, breaking them out now would only bring war between our packs. Sometimes, I have to turn a blind eye for the good of my pack.Felza took a few steps backwards and flipped her attention to Sapphire, “I think we've got company.” “They're just the pack warriors. We'll be gone before they know it if we follow that tunnel.” Sapphire said, pointing at another dark passageway which seemed to only contain one person at a time. I wiped some sweat off my forehead, “If they're just pack warriors, then they would notice that Luther here is gone.” I said, pointing at Sapphire's mate. Luther inhaled sharply, groaning in pain, “You're correct. I'm afraid we'll have to kill them.” he said to my utmost surprise, and I nodded, knowing how dangerous it was to leave this

~Rhys’ POV~Months ago, the war was brought to the borders of my pack, the entrance but never the pack house. We had nursing mothers, pups that were just learning the essence of life, and pregnant werewolves who needed protection. This was the safest part of the pack due to the presence of pack warriors, but with most of them drunk, I could tell this was a dead endI fought with everything in me, snapping heads off, tearing rouges and giving them a gruesome death. From the corner of my eyes, I could see Felza fighting with a rogue and killing him off before he could even approach her. She was a skilled fighter, but I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if anything should happen to her. My Beta ran towards me to lend a helping hand, and I couldn't be more grateful. However, as we killed more rouges, more forced their way into the pack house, going for small pups and weak women. I was enraged, angered, suddenly wanting to meet Sebastian. I knew he wouldn't rest until he conquers my pack

~Rhys’ POV~Azzrus’ words confused me. First, Luther didn't look like the son of an alpha, neither did he act like it. He seemed pretty normal to me, I'd even thought he was a worker in the Silvermoon pack who was fortunate to have Sapphire as a mate. However, Azzrus’ next statement rendered me completely speechless. “Luther likes exploring. Several times, he's shown his disinterest towards the throne of his father. Just when he returned a few days ago with his mate, he'd told us that he went to the Silvermoon pack under cover— exploring as usual, but he was shocked to find out his mate was the daughter of a cruel Alpha.” “So the Alpha wishes to reward us this way?” I asked again, and Azzrus slowly nodded, “Compared to what he has in store, this is small, my lord.” he smiled, “The Alpha is truly grateful for seeing his son again.” Since Luther was the son of a great Alpha, he could have asked for help from the members of his pack and his men. But since he wasn't interested in the

~Felza’s POV~Rhys was only gone for a day, but it seemed like a whole year to me. I Spent my whole time caring for the pack members, healing them and making sure they were comfortable. It wasn't an easy task, but all that kept me going was thinking about Rhys. . The whole pack was in chaos due to the war, and sighting several dead bodies made my heart ache. We cleared up the bodies, made a mass burial and returned back to the pack house, hoping for the return of our loved ones. While I had slight conversations with a pack member, loud cheers suddenly filled my ears, followed by the loud victory growl. My heart thumped loudly, about to jump out my chest. Without thinking, I dashed down the stairs and embraced him, pressing my head upon his hard, muscular chest. Hell, I missed his scent badly, I missed his voice and the way he gazed at me so tenderly. As I still basked in his warmth, cherishing our time together, my eyes caught the sight of a really strange girl—she was glaring at m
