Ava POVAfter the incident the happened in the hall when I got shot trying to save Astra. I had blacked out for two hours. Within that period of time, I had a very concise dream which made ma had doubts about everyone around me.I didn't know friend and I didn't know foe. I had decided to feign a memory loss. I needed a time to escape, with the dream that I had in mind, I knew that I needed to do something. I had to get far away from everyone; packs, everyone including Astra. I needed solitary and a huge time frame. I could only picture destruction ahead of everyone. A disastrous chaos was about to repeat itself; this was all part of what I saw in my dream. It seemed like part of the dream was a replay of someone's painful past, a past that could arouse an insatiable desire to kill. Anguish laid out for everyone, every single person was burnt by the chaos, no one survived, not even a single soul escaped the wrath of a grieving soul. Worst of it all was the self-suicide after the ve

Astra POVLeaving Emerald with Ava didn't seethe just right with me. I didn't know why I kept having this bad feeling that something was wrong somewhere. Lately, I've been seeing some unusual happenings both within the pack house and the pack itself. I get strange feelings around certain people and it felt quite off. But it even surprised me the more when I felt the same energy around Ava. I didn't want to refuse Emerald's request so I had to grant it. But after leaving them alone in the room, my mind couldn't stop racing back to her. What if truly something happens? In a few days, I'll be stepping up as the new ordained Alpha of the Hybrid pack before finally ascending as the Lycan king that ruled over other packs. The day after tomorrow has been scheduled for the day of my swearing in. I walked a few steps more but then the strange feeling I was getting was becoming stronger now, as if someone called for my soul. I hesitated, considering whether to ignore it or not but it beca

Ava POV"You didn't loose your memories, did you?". Sinai asked, her voice hard and demanding, one could tell the seriousness in it. I moved back a bit, taken aback by the sudden question. True, I had been faking to have lost my memories but Sinai suddenly finding out is shocking. I blinked innocently, trying as much best to look like a total idiot. "I don't what you're saying, if I had lost memories that is new!". I squeaked innocently, disconcerting her thoughts and her face changed from a serious one to a confusing expression. "Do you remember getting shot with a dragon bullets?". She probed further, countering to submerge her confusion and come to a definite conclusion but I wasn't ready to give her the benefit of the doubt. "I don't remember getting shot by any bullet". I replied, my voice firm."You don't remember taking a bullet for the Alpha?". She whined in another daze of confusion. "Take a bullet for the Alpha?". I scoffed, shocking Sinai and the doctor even more. They w

Astra POVI scaled through the thorns of grasses that prodded my path. Only one name resonated in my mind and that was' Emerald'. Even if it would take everything in me to save her, then I'll gladly do so. If anything should happen to the little girl, then I'm a goner. I had vowed to protect her with my life and I was going to do just that. The possibility of finding an almost extinct blood which no one knew if it was even in existence added even more fear to my being. The thought of loosing another person cut me through like a blade and I felt myself rejecting the tangles. Never! Not Emerald! I would never let that happen. She's been through just enough for her age. Most adults would break down if they went through what she's experienced. Emerald was the strongest kid I've ever met.Right from when she was born, she has always proved an extraordinary agility. Her mother had given birth to twins. But the other one died and Emerald survived. Until she was three years, the pain att

Daemon POVI watched with a satisfied smile as he made a feral transformation. My plan had perfectly unfolded, the wolfsbane was merely a catalyst to accelerate my plans. I had waited for this moment for so long and finally, it was happening.I had been manipulating things from behind the scene and no one knew. I was the real ochestrator of every single calamity that has happened, even that of my own father, I had strategized and now soon enough, I would be becoming a Lycan king that ruled over all the packs. It has always been a dream I was yet to fulfil, to ascend power!I had planned to kill my father to take over but it seemed fate was on my side and Astra ended up helping me do it instead. I knew his hatred for my father ran deep and I set up the opportunity for him and unfortunately, he got caught in the trap. If only he knew what awaited him, if only he knew that his father was under the influence of external powers, if only he knew that father didn't hate him, maybe he would
