JULIEN Armand barely perks up at the sound of Julien’s footsteps as he enters his office.Julien’s eyes narrow slightly at his Father’s disheveled state.Armand’s hair is a ruffled mess and papers are strewn across his usually tidy table.Julien takes the seat in front of his Father and cannot help the wary gaze he throws at him.He cares for the bastard, albeit reluctantly.“I see you got rid of the press,” Julien muses.Armand doesn’t take his eyes off his bottle of whiskey when he answers, “My PR Secretary finally got the job done.”“Ahh.”Minutes pass and the air remains tense with silence. The recent events have made Julien to see his Father in a different lens and he eyes him as though he’s not the same man that instilled rigid manners in him. This was not why he came to see his Father, he didn’t have time to dilly-dally yet so he cracks his knuckles and cuts to the chase.“Tell me something Father, did you know I had a son?”Armand’s gaze finally flickers to Julien but he doe

JULIEN FATHER AND SON THERAPY“Armand, what would you like to achieve out of today’s session, is there something you would like to work through today?”Armand gives the therapist a blank stare countering her encouraging smile and Julien scoffs at his Father. The stubborn bastard.“No Cynthia, I’m here because my son threatened me and he’s of the opinion that this is somehow supposed to help me? This is not how we did it in my time, I need a smoke.”Cynthia’s smile becomes strained and she clutches her stress bubble.Julien gives Cynthia an apologetic smile and turns to glare at his Father.“Father please, can you not act like a child? The session is just for an hour, after that you can get your smoke.” Julien says it to Armand in a cautious voice doing his best to appease him.Armand rolls his eyes but says nothing more. Cynthia takes it as her clue and claps her hands, “Shall we begin then?”“Yes Cynthia, please go ahead.”Cynthia nods her head as she takes some notes on her iPad b

JULIEN FATHER AND SON THERAPY SESSION 2“How are you doing today, Armand?” Cynthia asks.Armand hums, “I’d rather be anywhere but here but seeing as I am not making any threats I’m peachy.”Julien fights the urge to roll his eyes at his Father’s antics and Cynthia gives him an amused smile.“That’s great to hear Armand. In the last session, Julien got to talk about himself, today is your turn. Tell me about yourself, what is it you like and do not like? What aggravates you?”Armand scoffs as his fingers tap the desk lightly. Julien arches an eyebrow. Cynthia smiles, “Any moment from now would be lovely.”“Well if you insist.” Armand drawls.”I’ll start with what I don’t like. I don’t like the fact that my son doesn’t trust me. I detest the fact that he’s so weary of me and probably thinks I’m going to commit suicide 'cause I’m so depressed any moment from now.”Cynthia’s eyes widen at Armand’s outburst but she gives him an encouraging nod. However, Julien is not having it. “Oh please

ELSIDA“Where are you off to so early Elsida?” Natasha chimes from on top of the kitchen counter, she waves a spatula dramatically in the air before she puts it in her mouth. Natasha wiggles her brows suggestively and a knowing smirk curls across her lips.Elsida rolls her eyes and crouches to knot her laces. “You know where I’m off to Nat.”Elsida’s routine for the past two weeks consisted of; her shift at the Cafe, and going to Adrian’s gallery to paint. The amount of hours that she’d spent there was uncanny and she couldn’t deny the fact that she loved it there.Painting always managed to give her an escape out of brutal reality and she’d been welcoming it for the past fourteen days. She planned to continue doing exactly just that.Natasha hops from her spot on the counter and scurries over to where Elsida is perched. El, when will you put the poor Prince out of his Misery and go on a date with him?”Elsida scowled as she hung her tote bag. “That is not my priority right now Nat, I

JULIEN The saying that death brings people closer is accurate. Julien is a prime example because after he found out that his Father had lung cancer, the shift he experienced was dramatic. As much as he liked to believe that he hated his Father, it simply wasn’t so. He just couldn’t afford to lose another family member. His brothers; are gone. His mother; six feet deep in.The thought of his Father dying felt as though he was getting stabbed with a dagger repeatedly on the same spot.“You don’t have to be here you know, son.”Julien rolled his eyes at his Father,” Don’t start with me, Father.”An amused laugh slid past Armand’s lips. “If I knew that all I needed to do to get your attention was fall sick I would’ve-““Fuck Father, do you have to make a joke about everything?”Armand snorts, “Of course I do, I’m not dead yet.”Julien’s jaw hardens and his glare turns icy. He doesn’t spare his Father another glance as they await the doctor. Not long after, the door to the consulting room
