Kayson's POV Where was April? We'd come so far, fought so hard... Ronan's eyes met mine, and I saw the same shock and confusion reflected back at me. "Where is she?" Ryder growled, his voice low and menacing. I shook my head, my mind racing. This couldn't be happening, we'd been so sure. We'd scouted the den, knew the guards' rotations, and had planned our attack to perfection. But now, April was nowhere to be found.I took a deep breath, trying to think clearly. We couldn't give up now. We had to find her. "Search the den," I ordered, my voice firm. "She has to be here somewhere." Ronan and Ryder nodded, their faces set in determination. We split up, searching every nook and cranny of the den for the umpteenth time. But as the minutes ticked by, my hope began to dwindle. Where was she? Had Winston moved her to a different location? I couldn't shake the feeling that we were running out of time. Suddenly, I heard a faint noise coming from deeper in the den. I froze, my ears perked up.

I stood in the center of the room, my heart racing with anxiety. The elder's words echoed in my mind: "Choose one of these males to be your mate. If you refuse, you will leave the Order and start a new life."I looked at Kayson, Ronan, and Ryder, my mates, my loves. How could I choose just one? They had risked everything to rescue me, to save me from Winston's clutches.Winston sneered at me, a threatening look on that smug face of his. Like that would make me choose him.One the other hand were my loves, i being forced to choose amongst them, but I knew I couldn't. I couldn't betray my mates, my heart."I won't choose," I said, my voice firm. "I can't do it."The elder's expression turned cold. "Very well," he said. "If you refuse to choose, you will leave the Order. You will start a new life, alone, never to meet with any of the alphas ever again."I felt a surge of fear, that would be a life of misery, I had to make a decision but who?I took a deep breath and made my decision. I k

April's POV I pushed open the door to Winston's chamber, my heart racing with anticipation. He looked up from the papers on his desk, his eyes narrowing as he took in my presence."Who gave you the permission to leave your chambers April?" His voice was low and even, but I could sense a hint of wariness beneath the surface.I swallowed hard, trying to appear submissive "I…I apologise, thought it was time we got to know each other better, alpha. After all, we're to be married soon, It's not like we're enemies."Winston raised an eyebrow, his expression skeptical. "Save the charm for someone who gullible April. What do you really want?"I was getting agitated “Ok um…”Winston leaned back in his chair, steepling his fingers together. "I'm listening. But don't think for a moment that I trust you. You're here for a reason, April. What is it?"I took a deep breath, trying to appear sincere.Alpha, I wanted to speak with you about our upcoming marriage. I know we haven't exactly... seen ey

Luciana's POV I lay there, stunned, my body still humming with desire. Kayson's sudden withdrawal left me feeling empty and confused."What's wrong, Kayson?" I asked, trying to keep my voice gentle. He didn't respond. He just lay there, his eyes fixed on the ceiling, his chest rising and falling with deep breaths.I reached out, touching his arm. "Kayson, talk to me. What's going on?"Slowly, he turned his head, his eyes meeting mine. "I'm sorry, Luciana," he whispered. "I just can't do this."My heart sank. "Can't do what?" I asked, trying to keep my emotions in check.Kayson's gaze dropped, his voice barely audible. "Be with you, like this, I'm sorry."I felt a pang of rejection, but I tried to understand. "It's because of April, isn't it?" I asked softly.Kayson nodded, his eyes still downcast. "I know it's not fair to you, Luciana. You deserve better than someone who can't let go of their past."I glared at Kayson, my frustration and anger boiling over. "What exactly is it about

April's POVOver the next few days, Winston's guard dropped further, his trust in me growing with each passing moment. He began to take me on walks around the pack's territory, introducing me to his betas and gammas. He showed me off like a trophy, his pride and possession evident in every gesture. And I played along, smiling and laughing and pretending to be his willing mate. But inside, I was seething, my anger and resentment building with each passing moment.I knew I couldn't keep this up forever. I had to make my move soon, had to take back control and escape. And I knew exactly how I was going to do it.As I entered the meeting room, Winston's eyes locked onto mine, a sly smile spreading across his face. "Ah, April, perfect timing. Come sit beside me," he said, his voice dripping with condescension.I hesitated, my eyes darting to the empty seat beside him. It was meant for Sera, his wife and the Luna. I didn't want to provoke her further, but Winston's words were a challenge, a
