Laura's POVMy jaw dropped in disbelief as I stared at the Doctor. “Doc... What?”I suddenly found myself speechless. Pregnant? I can't be pregnant! How did that happen?“Yes, Mrs Laura. The test conducted can't be wrong. Infact I did it a few times just to confirm,” The Doctor answered and tears gathered in my eyes as my hand located my tummy. I was pregnant? “Doc, how can you be sure about this? I mean...” I sniffled. “Did you tell my husband about this?” I asked instead, suddenly remembering Eric. I prayed he hasn't told him anything yet. Furthermore, I wouldn't want to disclose this to him until I'm ready.“Be rest assured, Mrs Laura. I waited for you to be conscious again, you're the first person I wanted to tell. I didn't tell him anything,” He assured me, and I smiled gratefully.“Thank you, Doc.” “Now, you need to get a lot of rest. During examining you, I observed that you're a strong thinker. Can you do me a favor and stop thinking? It might not do well to you since you're

Aaron's POVEric has done his part, he had succeeded in getting me behind bars like true to his word, then he should await mine in return. I wouldn't settle for less, he shouldn't think that way.Goddammit, I couldn't believe I was locked up in this hole with some imbeciles. I'm Aaron Walker, I don't deserve to stay in this slump of a cell. I still have a company to run, I still had other things to do. Thankfully, I have Sasha, I trust her to keep tabs on everything while I'm still finding my way out of here. One thing's for sure, I'm finding my way out of here, and I don't care how I'm going to get out. “Dammit,” I cursed, fiddling with my fingers as I tried to think of every possible way to leave this cell. I can't be known locked up in jail, that's a huge shame even to my business. No, I couldn't let that happen. I'm going to get back on my feet and take away everything that's precious to the Sloan. My fist folded tightly as I gritted my teeth. “Thry will pay for shaming me this w

Laura's POVI didn't know where I'd got the guts to spew such news at Eric, and unable to stare at him in the eyes, I continued fiddling with my fingers and nibbling on my lips as my heart kept racing fast in my chest. Eric stood, paused for a while before clearing his throat. “What did you just say, Laura?” He demanded, and I almost flinched.Oh, God. What would be my fate? Was this the end for me? Rena's plan isn't going as planned.Eric walked to and fro, ruffling his hair. “Don't make me repeat myself again to you, Laura. What did I just hear from you?” My lips parted to reply to him. “I'm pregnant,” I dropped the bombshell once more. I expected him to bash at me and call me harsh names like he'd used to, but instead he pulled me to sit on the edge of the bed, shocking me to the bones as I gazed at him.“You need to rest more than ever. I don't want anything happening to my child,” He muttered, maintaining an intense eye contact with my already clouded eyes. I sucked in a deep

Laura's POVStriding out of the bathroom, I put on one of the comfortable dresses Eric had bought for me. Ever since he found out about my pregnancy, he had made it a must for me to rest every single day and how he comes to check up on me every hour. Whenever he's at work, Sasha or Larry would be the one checking up on me.Right, we were to be expecting Agatha too. When she got the news that I was pregnant, and we were going to be throwing a celebration today, she booked a flight back to America as soon as possible. As for Mrs Corazon, she postponed her charity event that was to be held in another state simply to look after me.The thought of them caring about me brought tears to my eyes as I stared at my reflection in front of the mirror. Initially, I have the best family around me.My eyes took in my tummy, as I imagined my baby bump. I smiled cheekily. “Mummy will do her possible best to keep you safe from harm, baby. I promise you, you'll come into this world, and we'll cherish yo

Laura's POV“Congratulations, Laura,” Agatha squealed excitedly, coming towards me. For a moment, I was left astonished. Last time I checked, Agatha and I weren't on too good terms, even though she apologized to me and eventually left the country for relaxation.Immediately, I covered my surprised countenance with a forced smile and looked at Eric.“You told her?” I whispered to him, cocking my brows and he nodded. “Of course, Mum's coming over and Dad... He's actually busy,” He replied.“Oh,” I mouthed. Not like Mr. Landon would show up to celebrate with us, though. Always a stern looking man. I see why Eric has always been trying to impress him, even if he doesn't deserve to be impressed.“Hi, Agatha.” I waved awkwardly at her as she dropped few things she brought along with her on the table before facing us with a glowing skin. Agatha was pretty, and her glowing skin had just left an impressive look of her vacation outside in the country. Gosh, I couldn't believe I was suddenly je
