(FMO)Chapter 21Sophia (A Surprise)The last three days have passed with me not knowing how they went by so fast because of how isolated I have become. Ace hasn't said much to me except the usual good morning and how's your foot. Or for a change, the ‘pass me the salt’ when we had dinner with Goldie and Peter . I don't think he has ever looked me in the face since that day. He's still very angry with me and honestly, I don't blame him. I caused this. What I said was very mean and very harsh but still being a decent human being and the bigger person, Ace has taken care of my leg dutifully as if it was his fault that it happened in the first place. Not that it was though. I caused that too. He never says a word to me when he is inspecting my injured foot but just works in absolute silence. I never thought I'd say this but I hate this coldness. It makes me feel small and unseen. Maybe because the real me is used to being the center of attention as grandpa's little princess and the

(FMO)Chapter 23Sophia (Please Stay)“Ace, wait you completely misunderstood—” He wasn't allowed to finish his statement as Ace pounced on him and pulled him away from me in a flash. Using the last ounce of strength in me, I crawled backwards to the side of the bed to cover my naked body with the sheets. Ace's face was filled with rage. “Not what it looks like?!” He screamed in his brother's face.”You had your fucking dick out behind her! She was fucking pleading with you! Why does that sound like to you! Were you trying to fuck my wife, Carter?! You were supposed to be my brother!” He

If you haven't noticed, we don't look alike.” He said rather harshly. That's true. I've wondered how they could be so different yet be siblings. Now there's an answer for that. They're not really brothers by blood. “So that means that?....” “I'm adopted. I've known ever since I was little. That prick downstairs showed me my adoption papers on my fifth birthday. Fucking idiot.” He cussed. “I'm so—” He held up his palm to silence me. “Save it. I'm not a child. I don't need your sympathy to know that someone cares for me. My parents loved me and my grandparents adored me. I'm good.” No, Ace. I know you're not. You're not okay and you're hurting inside. It's obvious you want to know your birth parents and probably ask them some questions. Why would anybody even give up their baby?“What do you need? I'm leaving. We can't exactly sleep in
