The hum of the monitors fills the room as I walk in, Keith trailing behind me. The dim light from the screens casts shadows on the walls. My men are already at their posts, eyes glued to the live feeds displayed across the dozens of screens. It’s a masterpiece of security, but right now, my focus isn’t on my empire—it’s on Marcellus. I take a seat in the centre of the room, Keith settling into the chair next to me. His expression is as serious as mine. “Switch the camera,” I order, my voice calm but firm. One of my men, a wiry guy named Nate, nods and starts tying away at the console. Within moments, the screen in front of me changes to a live feed of a meeting room. It’s a simple setup: a long table, a few chairs, and men scattered around, talking among themselves. I lean back in my chair, my fingers tapping lightly on the armrest. “Mute?” I ask, already knowing the answer. “Still muted,” Nate confirms. “Fix it,” I say, my tone sharper this time. He scrambles to adjust the feed

I open the factory door and get in, locking it from the inside.I pant. Sweat trickles down from my face as I stare at the door while simultaneously taking a few steps back. I turn around.This doesn’t look like an abandoned factory, however old.Thick, solid walls, made of brown bricks. Rows of wide windows with metal frames. A high ceiling exposes a network of industrial piping.I glance down.The floors are concrete with visible wear and stains from oil. Old, obsolete machinery stands in the corners; some are bolted to the floor. Metal pendant lights hang from the ceiling as I glance upwards. Only one of them is working.“There you are,” a familiar voice sneers behind me.I turn instantly.The guy with brunette hair is holding a pistol in his right hand.“There is nowhere else to go, blondie,” he smirks, but doesn’t aim at me.I don’t waste a second and run toward the rusted staircase, ascending as quickly as possible, hoping to escape, only to get caught by the bald guy at the end
