Damon’s POV It’s been two damn weeks since I last saw my pet, Iris. I had drowned myself in work, starved myself countless times, and taken endless cold showers to ease the burning need , but hell, nothing was working. Maybe I had given her too much freedom yesterday. She dared to run away. But what she didn’t realize was that I hadn’t forgotten one thing this time , the damn tracking device. I had searched the city top to bottom for her. Leaning back lazily in my chair, I lit a cigarette and strolled out to the balcony, my gaze fixed on the streets below , the glowing lamps, the passing cars, the towering buildings. I couldn’t help but slam my palm against the glass in frustration. If I got my hands on Iris... I would rip her in two. How dare she leave my premises after I had bought her?She was mine. And what’s mine can never belong to anyone else. No matter how hard I

Iris’s POVI sat down in the quiet, dark basement, staring hard at nowhere. Since it was dark, my vision seems blurred.“Damon!!!” I stood up, yelling and screaming at the top of my voice, hoping he would come back. He can't lock me up here. I’m a human, not an animal without emotions.“Damon, please let me out.” I cried out, tears falling as my heart pounded hard against my chest, nervousness gripping me.Banging hard on the metallic door, its echo sounded loudly in the quiet room. I hit it with all my might, but it was all in vain, no response, and my hands ached a lot.I suddenly felt a splitting headache and sat down on the floor, leaning my back against the door. Holding my breath and squeezing my fists, I tried not to make any more sound. Fear gripped me. I was scared of being alone here.I had just remembered when I was stuck in the rain Andrew had come to help me. Though he had become fierce all of a sudden, he didn’t change his kindness. It breaks my heart even more thinking

Iris’s povSoaking my tied body in the warm water, I felt my fatigue begin to dissipate. A rare calmness settled over me,more peaceful than I had felt in a long time. A strange sense of relief washed through me."Here, have it. You won’t die on me, not after what you’ve pulled," Damon’s words echoed in my head. He had said that, but his eyes… his eyes had said something entirely different. He was probably searching for a reason,an excuse,to be gentle.I sank my body deeper into the bathtub filled with warm water. I felt so at peace, shutting my eyes and letting the warmth take over my numb limbs.“Dad!!”“Dad, please come pick me up.”“Dad, I don’t want to stay here alone.”“Iris.”“Iris!! Are you awake?”“Dad, I want to go back.”“Iris, wake up.”“ARGHH, Fuck, Iris! Damn shit,” Damon’s voice broke through the haze, laced with curse words and frustration.Struggling to open my eyes, I was met with Damon’s annoyed face.He pulled me out of the bathtub, and I leaned against his shoulde

Iris’s POVWaking up, I felt the rails of the sun directly on my face.“Arghh,” I growled in pain as I tried to stand. Turning around, I felt a hard, firm, fleshy-like surface. It was soft yet solid, with hand loops, as I ran my fingers over it, counting the steps as I moved it closer.“Who did well, Iris?”“Me… or Zach?”Recalling Damon’s words, my eyes snapped open, meeting his jade ones as they trailed down my body.An awkward nervousness washed over me. Damon’s body, was that hard yet soft, fleshy skin I had been touching?“I-I’m sorry… I’m… sor…ry,” I stammered, sitting up. My numb bones cracked loudly. “Arghhh…” I bowed slightly, apologizing.“I’m sorry, Master,” I said, turning to get out of bed, but before I could make a move, I felt firm arms pulling me back.“Who asked you to leave? And… what did you call me?” Damon’s hoarse voice rumbled from above me.I wanted to dig a hole and bury my embarrassed self inside it. “Master… I’m sorry. I had…..”“Even after fixing two finger

Iris’s POV“I’ll make sure to tattoo my name on your neck.”Damon’s words resounded in my head. But what was more surprising was the sudden, angered expression he pulled right after watching the news.“Yvonne Enterprise in A City Went Ablaze.”He had stumbled out of the mansion almost immediately. Even being in the same space, watching the screen made me nervous. The man who had been all smiles, seemingly in a good mood, suddenly turned cold, his expression dangerous. The temperature in the room dropped.Grabbing the car keys, he threw on his trench coat. With large, purposeful strides, he stormed out of the mansion.Sitting down, doing nothing in particular, was the worst. But I had gotten used to Damon's absence, he was never always at home.Turning to the balcony room, I stood at the edge, watching the bright city. It was always the best view from this angle. With the unique scent of roses in the air, it struck me that it had been months since I last saw them. I couldn’t help but t
