Lupe's POV Dave walked me into the garden, his steps slow to match mine. "I really feel horrible." I said feeling my stomach turn in disgust, the food I ate earlier threatened to come back up. "Let's find somewhere to sit." He held my hand leading me to a log of wood. I settled in closing my eyes. "Are you okay?" He asked. "Not after seeing Kyna like that." I replied, my stomach sent another signal. "She must have been scared." He leaned into the tree's bark. I imagined Kyna's once proud and fearless face turn into one of fear, her pretty face filled with lines of etched by dread. I could almost see her pleading for her life. I bit back the bile in my throat."I know Kyna can be annoying sometimes, but I can't help but wonder just how much she had offended the killer to have met such fate." I said.Dave wrapped his arm around my shoulders. "People are the most scariest creatures. Killing her was enough, but doing that to her body was just pure evil, only a wicked witch woul

Adrian's POV "Speak!" My eyes were red, my claws longed to dig into her flesh. "No one sent me." She fell on her knees holding my leg. I moved away from her gasp as Cenat stood before me proactively."Why are you here?" He asked in a more aggravated tone. "I came to see my brother.""Who is your brother? Does he work here?" Cenat asked. "L.. Leo, I heard he was framed for the murder of the King's maiden." She said."Framed?" I scoffed. "Who told you that?" Cenat asked. "Ethan, he stopped by my house earlier." She said with teary eyes."Ethan? A guard here too?" Cenat asked."Yes, he's Leo's friend." Cenat laughed, "he stood against him today telling hin to face the music of his punishment." Her face fell, "N.. no! Ethan loves Leo, they have been friends since childhood." Cenat and I exchanged a glance. "Please your majesty, Leo would never hurt anyone, he hates the smell of blood. He would not be so stupid to kill the King's beloved." The image of Kyna's bleeding body flash

Lupe's POV I laid on my bed feeling restless and unable to sleep. "Leah, do you think he's okay?" I asked. "I'm as worried as you are, but there's nothing we can do about it." She replied. It was late at night yet here I was instead of sleeping, I was thinking about the same man who had brutally rejected me. "What the fuck is wrong with me?" I groaned closing my eyes as I rolled on the bed."I have no idea, but I can totally relate to how you're feeling." She replied. "That's because you're my wolf and you're a part of me." I said in reply. "Maybe." She was quiet for a while. "What's Sebastian's deal?" She asked. I shook my head, "I have no idea, he keeps popping up when he shouldn't. I told him that his proposal was not acknowledged because I belonged to the King but he refused to give up." "Do you think he's telling the truth?" She asked. "I have no idea, talking about this made me remember the day Kyna caught me in the bush with him." "If it wasn't for Dave, you would ha

Lupe's POV It was two days after my episode with the Alpha King and his Beta, surprisingly, everything was calm. I at least expected they looked for the lady that night but there was nothing. I tried recalling her voice but it was as though she was never existing. Maybe they investigated but it turned out to be a random maid frolicking around desperately to get her itch scratched. The talk about Kyna had died down drastically, the King forbade anyone to speak about it, anyone who did risked getting hanged or having his head cooled in cell. Beta Cenat must've kept to his word, the King wasn't saying anything to me which was a good sign. I caught a quick glance at him yesterday, his face looked tired with worry lines on his forehead and his chin. He was still grieving her. A part of me felt a sting of jealousy but I shoved it down."We got rejected already." I sighed."Don't you think he's stressed?" Leah asked."He is obviously, but what can we do?" I answered. "I feel so bad for

Lupe's POV I got up from the bench faster tham lightning. "I think you got it all wrong Sebastian, I haven't given you the green signal, you're a nice guy but I cannot reciprocate your feelings, I told you so before." I replied avoiding his gaze."Why? Because you're the Adrian's breeder?" He made a sound between a scoff and a snort."That is part of the reason why, but anyways the summary of what I'm trying to tell you is that, I cannot reciprocate your feelings." "So you rather live your life like this, being used and tossed away rather than being by my side so that I can treat you like the queen that you are." His face was red, probably from embarrassment and his voice low, he was not taking the rejection as calmly as I thought he would. His words stung, "Mind your words Sebastian, I never chose this life, just because I rejected you doesn't mean you have to look down on me." I replied staring back into his eyes. He cleared his throat holding my gaze, "Lupe, I'm really sorry, I
