POV: HENRY“I didn’t come to argue,” I replied, my voice steady and unhurried. “I came to negotiate. As I’ve already made clear.” I slid my hands into the inner pocket of my blazer and calmly pulled out my phone. My eyes never left theirs. The atmosphere was tense. Roger stood beside me, visibly uncomfortable. His brow was furrowed, his fists clenched. Margareth remained rigid, her eyes locked on me as if facing a real threat—and, in a way, she was. I unlocked the device and opened the photo gallery, scrolling until I found the image I wanted. Then, I took a step forward—not close enough to invade their space, but enough for them to clearly see the screen. “This is Noah,” I said, my tone unchanged. “A baby, just a few months old, bright, clever… and who’s already been through things no child should ever have to face.”
