บททั้งหมดของ CHASING HIS CONTRACT WIFE: บทที่ 21 - บทที่ 30

*SOPHIA’S POV*It was morning, and I was up, but as usual, Bran always left before I was up. I got prepped and headed out for work with public transportation. Apparently, Pierre was supposed to return to drop me off at work, but he was delayed by an emergency accident on the road, so he could not meet up with me. He finally returned home and did not meet me at home, as I had already left on my own, but he met with Henna as she was on her way to her luxury bag store.“Excuse me, please, have you seen Mrs Garner?” he asked Henna, suddenly intrigued to get some information from him.“Well, I am sure she must be around here somewhere. Why do you ask?”“I am supposed to drop her off at work, but I got delayed.”“Oops, that was unexpected indeed. How about you tell me something that I need to know, and I will tell you exactly where Sophia is?”Just then, Mrs Reeves walked by and spotted Pierre. She knew he would only be back here to pick me up, and she knew that I had left already. She wa

*SOPHIA’S POV*There was total silence all through the ride to the party. I don’t know why, but a part of me was angry with Bran, and he, on the other hand, did not know how best to explain himself, so we kept quiet all through. Shortly after, we got to the party location. As Bran showed the bouncer his invitation card, they allowed us in, while Pierre went ahead to park the car and wait for us.I walked into the hall, right after Bran, as I could not keep my eyes off the theme of the party. Different calibres of people were all in this hall, some gossiping, some talking about business plans, some connecting a friend or friends to another friend, and some had their eyes on me, staring.I strictly followed Bran as I was certain that I knew no one here at the party. Bran greeted a couple of influencers and business partners he knew and knows while I clutched my dress and smiled most of the time as he introduced me as his wife. Finally, the birthday celebrant came down to the hall, and

*BRAN’S POV*A part of me became elated the moment I heard her say thank you to me, it felt as though she was beginning to try to open up towards me.I smiled at her and continued to tend to her ankle until I was done.“You would have to stay home for a couple of days, at least until the pain and swelling subsides.”“A couple of days? I don’t think I can do that, I just resumed work and there is a lot of work to do too….I can’t take days off at this point,” she argued.“Yes, you just resumed, but then this is about your health. Your health comes first, even for me….. I am sure Tessa will do a good job in your absence, or better still, I can oversee the meetings in your place.”“Oversee the meetings in my place? How well diversified are you about baby wear?”“Well, I don’t know much, but this is me just trying to put your mind at ease.” She shook her head slightly with a soft smile and looked away.“I still don’t know the reason behind you starting a company that designs and makes bab

Liam was sitting in his office when his secretary brought the office tablet to him. She knocked and entered.“Sir, you have to see this,” she said and handed over the tablet to Liam.He collected it and read the content on the tablet, it was news of Sophia having him as a secret lover.“When was this released?” he furrowed his brows.“This morning sir”“Sophia,” he said and quickly stood.“Sir?” “Get my car ready” Liam picked up his suit and wore it.“Yes sir,” she said and hurried off to get the car ready.Liam put on his suit, stepped out of the office and got into his car. He quickly decided to call Sophia before he rushed off to meet with her, it rang and she picked it up.“Sophia, how are you?” every word said with concern.“I am fine, you good?” she asked over the phone, her voice a little bit unusual to Liam.“You don't sound fine……. I saw the news” he said and let out a deep sigh as he gently rubbed his forehead.“I am sorry I dragged you into all of this…..uhhmm, I will find

Tom gets home at the end of the day and meets his wife Jane, who is busy with her tablet. She has always been a full housewife and has always been at home, she only steps out when it is of urgency. “How was the bidding proposal meeting today?” She asked, her eyes still fixated on what she was doing on the tablet and her left hand holding onto a glass of wine as she swirled it a couple of times.“It went well,” he said and pulled off his suit and placed it on the couch. “He took on the challenge?” Her eyes suddenly shifted to Tom who was trying to pull off his tie and have a seat. “Not like he had a choice anyway, it was either that or lose his seat as the CEO” he smirked.“That stubborn brat just won’t give up” she huffed and took a sip of her wine.“We are finally getting close to our goal” A smile engulfed his lips.“Are you that confident that you will win this bidding? Because if you are not, then I would suggest you give it all up now” her words devoid of support.“I have thin
