Aria stirred awake, a groan escaped her lips as she turned around in bed. Her eyes felt heavy but her body felt warm. Like she had just had the best sleep of her life. Her body was wrapped in a fur blanket, Lucien lay fast asleep beside her.Aria had not meant to fall asleep besides him. After she had rubbed the paste on his leg and made sure the bleeding had stopped. She had meant to walk out of the cottage and take a walk in order to clear her head. But the quiet moment they shared in the room made her rethink her actions. The silence had stretched as they both met each other’s gaze. That moment was sacred, so she stayed. After she was done, she told Lucien to lay back and rest. He needed it. He had tried to argue, but Aria had shut him down quickly with an intense glare. She knew that he was still going to comply with what she said even though he groaned about it.Now, as Aria stirred awake and opened her eyes, she smiled as she saw that Lucien’s breathing was warm and steady. Her

A warm feeling began rising within her.She lowered her gaze, her head down as she tried to hide her reddened cheeks. If Aria had heard those words just a couple of days ago, she would have been filled with anger. Now, she was filled with an emotion that she had never felt before in her life.An emotion that she still couldn’t identify.Lucien, oblivious to the thoughts racing through her mind, limped back to the cottage. He picked up his cane and walked straight to the bedroom. When he walked back, he was wearing a long white leather cloak, similar to the one that Varion had, but his was made of fur.Aria’s eyes widened as she saw him walk out. With a frown on her face, she took a step forward. “Are you sure you have to go?” she asked, her tone filled with worry.Lucien nodded, he fastened his cloak and transferred his cane to his other hand. “Yeah, I have to. No matter how much I hate the old bastards. I know they wouldn’t call me unless it’s actually something important.”The elder

Aria watched Lucien limp down the trail with a worried expression on her face. She stood at the doorway for a while longer, even after she could no longer see him. Without him being close to her, she somehow felt empty and lonely.A fact which shocked her because she had spent pretty much all her life being lonely, and she had never thought of it as abnormal up until this moment.A soft smile lingered on her lips as she rested her back on the doorway. After a while, she turned back, shut the door behind her, then crossed into the bedroom to grab her herbal bag. She tied it around her shoulders, picked up her cloak and covered herself. It was the middle of winter, and she needed to keep herself warm. She was packed and ready. With a smile on the corner of her lips, she towards the door of the cottage. There was a spring in her steps as she walked, her cheeks were rosy, and she walked with her head held high. She stopped at the doorway. Inside the cottage, she could still feel his warmt

Aria’s breath hitched, her eyes grew wide as she stared unblinkingly at Riley. This was obviously a joke, right? Her siblings, Lyra and Ronan, here? The twins were the bane of her life growing up. Most of her scars were from their antics. They were wolves who loved to pounce on any opportunity they got to humble her.Her mind raced as memories flashed through them. She shook her head rapidly, her pulse began racing as she took a step back in shock. Not the pack, not them, and please, not the twins. Her eyes narrowed as she strengthened her resolve, her lips parted, and she asked again, “The twins are here in this clawhold? Now?”Riley nodded, her gaze held a hint of pity in it. She had seen the way Aria had grown stiff just by hearing that she would be seeing the twins very soon.“Yes. They are here,” Riley answered with a shrug, “They came in yesterday through the WhiteVale and they are currently resting. I’m pretty sure you will see them in the next few days when my mate informs

Lyra’s POV: Lyra chuckled as she walked through the snowstorm. As a werewolf, the cold didn’t bother her one bit. But the silence did. From the corner of her eyes, she could spot her twin brother whispering to some of the guards who were escorting them to the castle. She held her head high as she was led past the border of the Vine Clawhold. This was the second time she had visited the Vines, but she was just as impressed as she initially was by its sheer size. They walked through some hidden trails, their guards and her twin, intent on staying out of sight for now.Minutes later, she spotted the sprawling castle of the clawhold’s alpha. This was the kind of place that perfectly suited her tastes. As they approached the castle doors, Lyra’s eyes widened as she spotted Alpha Alder standing by the gates. He wore a long white fur-lined cloak, coupled with his immense height, he looked like a giant, or even a Lycan. He was not alone; he was flanked by a couple of elders and a hooded man
