บททั้งหมดของ Mate me at Hollywood : บทที่ 71 - บทที่ 80

DAVID's POV FIVE YEARS AGO. ‘Do not fucking stop. We're getting closer to your mate. You have to keep going.’ The voice inside me is a growl of agitation, yearning and teeth. My chest tightens, electric tingles spreading through me like waves. I'm standing on the stone tower of the Castle of Urueña. From here, I can almost see the entire village, its people, the vineyard, the fields of wheat... but I can't find the girl. "Are you sure she's here? I still don't feel the mate bond," I mutter under my breath. ‘The girl is here. I could smell her from a million miles away,’ my wolf snarls. I can almost feel him pacing inside me, tail lashing, hackles raised. His need is a hot, dangerous pressure just under my skin, urging me to move, to claim. I understand his excitement. No Alpha in my bloodline has ever waited this long to be granted a mate by the Luna Goddess. ‘Fuck, there's that special vanilla scent again. Go into the village and find our girl. We need her. Go,’ my wolf ins

DAVID's POV. Fate is an ironic witch. She makes you wait for four centuries to find your mate. You find her and think, "yes, here she is, I'll take her, make her mine and show her the world." Then fate says, "oh, you thought your loneliness had come to an end? Sike!" The girl comes from a long line of werewolf hunters. The notorious Diego and Rosa Bello are her parents. Monsters only ever beget monsters. I know I'm no saint, but are my sins so grave that the Luna goddess chooses to punish me this way? "Diego.." I seethe. He coughs again as his eyes flutter open, then widens like a deer caught in headlights. "It's you... you monster.." he hisses in hostility, even while dying. Relentless as hell. "I always did admire your fighting spirit," I mutter, moving to his hunter wife, Rosa. After tapping her shoulder lightly, she stirs back to conciousness. Her reaction is the same as her husband's. "Miss me?" I ask with a little smile. She gives a grimace. "Your kind shouldn't b

The plane ride from Spain back to California is the saddest, longest journey ever. There is no second that I don't spend regretting my decision to leave Lara. I have half a mind to barge into the cockpit, and force the pilot to stop the plane. My wolf is hundred times angrier, intensifying my struggle.'I found our mate. Then you lost her. Great job, Daevid. You really are the Alpha of the century,' wolf mocks."I didn't have a choice. I lost the battle against her father and her brother."'Because they cheated. They didn't play fair,' he growls."I couldn't fight with sand in my eyes."'Yeah, excuses. Keep making 'em, but I'll tell you the truth — you fucked up.'The person seated next to me throws a wary glance, either scared or confused. Shit, I can't afford to draw the attention of humans.I lean back into my seat, and look out the window. The blue skies are changing to a strange shade of grey.. as if a storm were coming.Wolf makes another fiery jab. 'Maybe you'll be the first A

"Mi hija," my father breathes heavily, standing behind the destroyed window."Papa," I whisper, taking in his appearance. He looks like a stranger from another lifetime, not the man who raised me for 20 years. I left Spain knowing him as an hardworking, honest farmer... only to find out that..."You look completely different, Lara," he says, walking closer to me. "Did you dye your hair?"My fingers instinctively reach for the tip of my hair. Alyssa had convinced me to dye some part light brown, but I like it. It flatters my skin tone. But dad, judging from his disgusted grimace, doesn't feel the same way."Your hair is naturally black. Did you change it because Hollywood folks made you feel inferior?" he asks, eyeing the tip of my head in disdain."Nobody made me. I did it on my own. But that's what you're concerned about? Not the fact that you've been lying to your daughter for her whole life??" I cry out."I told you going to school in Hollywood was a bad idea. I warned you. And you

Before morning hits, Mateo successfully sneaks me into the Gemini Moon territory. A few hours has passed since midnight, and only the chirping crickets are awake. The Gemini werewolves are asleep in their tents. "What exactly happened to Leo?" I question, lowering my voice to a small whisper. "We were planning a revolution to overthrow Roman's reign," he replies as we walk. "But Roman somehow got word, and sent soldiers to our tent. I escaped... Leo didn't. My knees weaken and I stumble back, grasping for something, anything, to hold onto. "Shit. Are.. are you sure they got him?" "When I came back, all I found was... blood." I press a trembling hand to my mouth. "Roman has him. God, Roman has him." "I'm afraid so," Mateo mutters, his gaze fixed ahead. "You seem to have a plan," I murmur. "What is it?" "Leo had been building an army of werewolves who hate Roman too. So I set up an emergency meeting with them. We're gonna strategize and work out a plan." "Tell what I can do
