Darius’POV“Soraya, what happened? What’s wrong?”I was trying so hard to keep my voice steady, but seeing her like that, her face swollen, bruises trailing down her neck, blood on her lip, it made it so difficult to keep calm.“It was… the Patriarch,” she whispered. For a second, everything in me just stopped. My blood turned cold. Sam froze from where he stood. The name alone was enough to send rage through my skin. The Patriarch.I clenched my teeth, I could feel Zeus, trying to take over as a low growl rumbled in my chest.“What?” My voice broke out. “The Patriarch? How…how did he even find you?”Her fingers twitched weakly. “One of his men… came to warn me,” she coughed, wincing in pain. “Said I should… stay away from you.”Before I could ask anything else, the infirmary door swung open.“Oh my!” The nurse gasped the moment she saw Soraya. She rushed in, setting her medical kit on the table beside the bed. “What happened to her?”“She…she fell down,” Sam quickly said. The nurse’s

Darius’ POVI didn’t even realize my claws had hit her until I heard her soft gasp.Soraya’s body hit the floor, and my heart stopped. My claws were trembling. My vision was red. Zeus was in control now. I was trying to control him, but I couldn't. I didn't want to hurt anyone. The scene of Soraya's blood filled the air, and it made Zeus even angrier. He wanted to destroy everything that threatened her. But right now, the threat was me.I tried to stop my hand from raising again, but it was like fighting my own shadow. My muscles burned, screaming against me. My teeth gritted so hard I could taste blood.“Soraya don't go close again, okay? Look at your face, you're injured." Mom said. I could barely hear her over the pounding in my ears.I hurt her.“No… I’ve gone through worse.” Soraya replied. Her words froze me. Through the blur, I saw her getting up again, her legs shaking, her hand clutching her stomach. What was she doing? She should run away.“Darius…” she whispered. My body fl

Darius’ POVI didn’t know how long I’d been pacing this damn hallway. But time meant nothing anymore. All I could hear was the echo of my own footsteps.Sam had come to me a few times, trying to talk sense into me. “You should sit down, man. She’s going to be fine,” he kept saying. But I couldn’t, how was I supposed to sit down when the person I loved most was lying in there because I couldn’t control my own wolf? That’s the thing about werewolves. We’re protective, possessive, territorial when it comes to our mates. I ran a hand through my hair, the hallway had grown darker now, the moonlight seeping through the window. I finally stopped pacing and just stood there for a moment, trying to breathe. Then I reached for the door handle and opened it slowly. The room was quiet and quite dark. She was still lying there. I turned on the lights and walked closer, and then I saw her eyes flutter open.My heart almost stopped. “Soraya,” I breathed, with widened eyes. I didn’t even realize I w

Soraya's POV“How can I sleep when you’re touching me?” He said, in that husky from sleep .The moment I realized what I’d just said, my entire face went up in flames. “I…I didn’t mean—” I stammered, quickly pulling my hand away. My fingers were trembling as I covered my face, wishing I could just disappear.Darius chuckled softly, and that sound made my heart skip. “Soraya,” he said in that quiet, teasing tone of his, “I’m about to take a bath. Do you care to join me?,”. I groaned behind my hands. “Don’t say things like that…”I quickly looked away, pretending to be busy straightening the bedsheet. “You’re impossible,” I mumbled. He just smiled. “And yet, you’re still with me.”The next thing I knew, he threw off the blanket and got out of bed. My breath hitched. He was only wearing grey sweatpants, and his chest was bare.He stretched a little, running a hand through his hair, and I just… stared. I couldn’t help it. He looked like he’d stepped straight out of some fitness magazine.

Soraya's POV“Excuse me, miss,” one of the men said firmly, blocking my path. “Who are you?”I froze for a second, before lifting my gaze to meet theirs. They were both tall, dressed in black uniforms, with earpieces and serious faces that made them look intimidating.“Um… good morning,” I began carefully. “I’m Soraya. I came here to, uh, see Mr. Darius.”The two men glanced at each other. The one on the right raised an eyebrow. “Mr. Darius? Our boss?”“Uh… yes,” I said, nodding quickly. The first guard sighed. “Miss, this is the headquarters of D.D. Enterprise. We don’t just let random people walk in. Everyone who enters needs a password or an ID badge. And we don’t recognize you.”“Right, I understand,” I said, trying to stay calm. “I’m not a staff member or anything.”The other one tilted his head slightly. “Then are you here on business? Maybe from another company?”“No, not that either,” I replied, shaking my head. “I just came to give Mr. Darius his lunch.”That made both men pa
