Chapter 101

Electra’s gaze narrows, a confused frown knits her brows. She didn’t want to believe any of it, but it’s before her. She can't miss it. The figure. That gait. It can’t be, but it is.“Irene?” Electra calls, wanting to confirm her mind isn’t all muddled from the event of the evening.Irene stops at the sound of her name. Chapter 102

“Electra!” The call is accompanied with a pleasant smile. “You came early.”Electra frowns. Did he check the time? She's late.“I should have been here earlier. I woke up later than I was supposed to plus this place is in the opposite direction.”Jerry flips his hand. “It's fine. “Run along now. You know Meliana doesn't like to be kept waiting.” Orion taps Anders on his back, pushing him out of the garage. Anders parts his lips to clarify. It's not a date, but Orion doesn't give him a chance to speak.“We're leaving, Jerry.” Orion shouts over his shoulders.“Alright,” Jerry responds. “Electra, come with me. Chapter 104

Electra immediately begins to regret not taking Jerry's offer of a ride. Recalling what would have happened to her last night if Jerry hadn't showed up, she didn't want to be here at this time.What if those guys came back? What if she encounters a different set–the worse ones Jerry referred to? What would they do to her this time?She clutch the strap of her cross bag against her chest. Electra’s eyes widen as she stares at the child. “Damian?” She calls in surprise. The boy stands, not talking, not moving. He just stands there grinning widely at her.Damian, her cousin, looks between her and the child as Electra calls his name. “You know him?”“Yes,” Electra responds. “His name is Damian.”“Oh! Chapter 106

Damian apologizes for being the bearer of bad news. He saw how Uncle Kleon had been with Electra while they grew up. It was one of the reasons they all stayed back–for her to find her feet and be able to hold her ground against him. Still, he knows the effect Uncle Kleon’s mistreatment had on Electra. He tried to talk him out of it. Remind him that he still had Nikas, but Kelon threatened to give it all to charity. That night, neither of them slept. Plagued by the monsters haunting them, each laid on their beds, eyes wide open and counting unseen stars in the ceiling.Electra can't stop thinking about her brother and her father. Electra reaches the garage. This time, she's early and Jerry takes her straight to his office to sign the required papers.“That'll be all for now. Jerry's gaze doesn't shift.
