The next morning, I woke up feeling from all the stress of the last two days. Instead of lying in bed, I changed into some leggings and a plain tee. For once, I didn't want to sit around the house not doing anything. If I was going to turn my life around, I had to start with myself. I looked up gyms online in the neighborhood and found one just two blocks from my apartment. It was nothing flashy or anything—just a neighborhood gym with glass windows and you could watch others lifting weights and running on treadmills. When I walked inside, the atmosphere was thick with sweat and disinfectant. There was loud music playing and I felt a little uncomfortable. However, I approached the counter.
