Elisa D´AngeloHis lips crashed into mine, and I liked it. His strength, the power of his kiss. The way his lips danced over mine made my body feel alive. My entire being vibrated with the possibilities. It was too soon, and this was Wyatt, the ruthless man who could crush my heart and rip it into little pieces. He forced himself to stop, while my chest was panting with the intensity of the moment. "Wyatt..." I mumbled his name, and he closed his eyes. "I am sorry, I overstepped," he said, turning around and giving me his back. While he kissed me, I could feel him —the real him, not the man trying to pretend he was strong or ruthless, but the man who was unseen, the man who wanted to be loved.I understood that I was not welcome anymore, and reluctantly, I made my way to the door, clutching his shirt against my chest. Tears welling in my eyes, not because I regretted the kiss, but because it hurt to see him closing up to me."For what i

Elisa D´AngeloI stirred with the morning light filtering into my bedroom. I opened my eyes, and I felt different. I tried to move, but it was as if I had been anchored to the bed, tied down with cinder blocks. I tried to move and froze when I heard a soft snore. Images of my dreams, mixed with something close to reality, invaded my mind. I stirred a bit more, and I heard a voice. "Don´t move too much, darling..." It was Fermin´s voice to my left."Fermin, what?" I mumbled, and then a hand across my waist pulled me to the left."You are too noisy, princess." The grumble coming from Wyatt made me panic. If those two are here, where is...?"If you keep moving, I am going to eat you again..." Hunter said out loud between my legs, and I was utterly mortified."What happened?" I mumbled, and Fermin raised his eyebrows."You called out to us, darling..." he said, caressing my cheek, and then lowering his hand

ZaneIt was awkward; I had never been held by a woman who wanted me to call her mother. My heart swelled, and the idea of being part of a family made me feel more than welcome by the D´Angelos, more like part of them, even if I didn´t want to.The doctor arrived and looked at the small ICU cubicle with curiosity. "I thought I said only one person with the patient." he looked at Asteria´s parents, and her mother smiled."You know how we roll..." she said, and the doctor sighed."He is a friend of the family..." Asteria whispered into my ear, and I knew that even if they were breaking the rules, the doctor would not do anything about it."Alright, Zane, let me check your vitals..." The doctor walked towards me and began taking my pulse, breathing, and heartbeat, as well as my temperature and blood pressure."You are up, and everything seems normal," he said, and I nodded."You have been here for almost two days, the pr

ZaneThe next day, Asteria was adamant that I take a break and rest. I was all for Iti, but only if she cuddled with me on the bed or the couch. She agreed, but with the condition of ´no funny business´ taking the fun away from my rest time.I tried to behave, but after Iris healed me, I felt completely fine, and I needed her. So, even though I agreed with the 'no funny business' policy, I found a loophole in the situation and took advantage of it. Instead of me making the first move, I enticed her to the point of making her break her own rules. At first, she just stared at me parading around shirtless, or while cooking, reaching for things, trapping her between the counter and my chest of drawers.I could see her trembling, and then she tried to regain control. I could see how her wall crumbled, and then she lifted them up, trying to allow me time to heal, but the reality was that I had never felt more alive in my life. It was while we were watching

Asteria D´Angelo"I am going to call Sergei and Helia..." Dad said, and I nodded."Please, we are not staying with them... just let him know about our presence there so he can show us which areas are safe for us to move around," I said, and Dad nodded."Yeah, I will... but unfortunately, Sweetie, Sergei, and Helia would at least want to invite you to dinner..." Dad pointed out, and I nodded."I guess we can spend dinner with them." I looked at Zane, and he smiled."Sure..." he shrugged his shoulders, and I beamed. I loved how confident, how strong, and how secure he felt. It was not only that he was maturing, but there was some strange energy around him, something particular to a leader. I smiled, admiring my mate, and he lowered his gaze, meeting mine, and winked."We need to pack up..." I said, and Zane nodded. He picked up the compass and packed it in its leather pouch. He laced his fingers with mine... "Thanks, family..." She smile
