The Lycan's Gold Digger Wife のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 31 - チャプター 40

Lacy's POVDinner goes just like breakfast. The maids refuse to serve me, but Maria does; the only difference is that no maid has tried to spill tea or food on me.Progress, if you ask me.Everyone is chattering with one another, and I am sitting beside Brent. He is trying to start a conversation with me, but I'm not in the mood for one now.I don't know what those doctors did to me while I was asleep, but I wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone. "Everyone. May I have your attention, please?" All eyes turn to Celeste as she stands up and hits her glass cup with a spoon. She is smiling widely, as if she has just won the lottery, and I don't know why I get the feeling that whatever she's about to announce is related to me."I would like to organise an event in honour of our lovely Luna. " She looks at me with her sickly sweet smile, but I can see the crack in her Facade. Her eye is twitching as if calling me her Luna would make her explode. Murmurs fill the room in anticipation of wha

Lacy's POV "Fuck all of them". Tears stream down my face as I run to my bedroom. I slam the door shut and jump on my bed, sobbing into the sheets. I curl up in bed and hug myself. I might have looked confident, flirting, and trying to arouse those men, but in fact, I was far from it. I didn't want to do it, but I had to prove that bitch, Celeste, wrong. She is out to get me, and I can't let her win. The door of my room slams open, and I hear footsteps walk in. I don't need to turn to know who it is. "Go away," I yell into the pillow, but loud enough for him to hear."No. I'm not going anywhere." Vincent says with a very annoyed tone. "I said you should leave, damnit." I turn to face him with tears streaming down my face, and he looks down at me, fuming. He roughly grabs my arms and forces me to stand up, facing him face-to-face. "What was the meaning of the bullshit you pulled there, Lacy?""You're asking me? You're fucking asking me? Why don't you ask your whore, Celeste? Huh?"

Lacy's POV We finally arrived at where Brent was taking me. It's a small café shop, and it's quite a distance from the main house. I wonder why, but as if Brent read my thoughts, he speaks. "The people here get news pretty late unless it's urgent. They don't really get gossip on time, so none of the pack members here know what you look like."He is really thoughtful. I smile at him again, and he shifts on his feet, uncomfortable."Let's go." He holds my hand and pulls me into the cafe."I'll have a large Coke and a double cheeseburger." Brent looks at the waitress who hasn't stopped ogling him since we were seated."Also, add a side of fries."She scribbles away in her small book, taking side glances at him before turning to me. She smiles sweetly at me and asks for my order.I am actually shocked. This isn't how it goes in movies. She's supposed to snarl at me because I'm out with the man she's attracted to. But I guess this isn't a movie."A salad is fine. Thank you.""A salad?"

Vincent's POV"I have caught them whispering and laughing together too many times to count. They always look so intimate," she continues.I think about it and try to recall all the moments that they have been together, and it seems true. So there's a high chance that they're in an affair, huh? So that's why they care about each other so much?Anger boils in my veins. I'll show them, and I walk out of the ward with Celeste in tow. -I am sitting in my office when Brent walks in. "You sent for me?" He still has that look of anger in his eyes."Yes, I did. You will go with the fourth troupe to South Korea, to get more information on the progress of the blood analysis." I say this while signing some papers, avoiding his gaze and the obvious look of disapproval."What the hell, man? Is this your way of punishing me for doing your job for you? You don't even take care of your wife, you don't pay her any attention, and when someone does it, you're sending him away?" I look up at him in a

Lacy's POV It's been a week, and so far, Vincent has dragged me to every one of the soldiers ' training sessions. At first, it started with him video-calling me at random to check on what I was doing from my room, to him barging in and asking multiple questions, as if I were some professional gym instructor, and now he's bribing me with food to make me be there.I don't even do anything there. I stand and stare, while they train.Vincent divided the soldiers into groups. Some went to train in another area to become accustomed to the geographical tip I provided, and some improved their sprinting skills. They were divided according to their strengths."Today. All of you are gathered here to be further divided into groups. A group must have at least one from the previous groups I created, and you will teach each other on your specialty." Vincent says. We're back at the training centre, and I'm wearing a tracksuit that I am forced to wear around the fighters. "Both of you", Vincent poi
