Lacy's POV I feel a prick on my neck and I understand what it means... I slowly drift in and out of consciousness, looking at all of them one by one in the room. The doctor sitting looks mad. I'm really pissed at Vincent's decision, but he smiles wickedly, just like before. He looks at the man behind Vincent and gives him a signal.I try to shout at Vincent to watch out, but it's too late. The man hits Vincent on the side of his neck, and he slumps forward in the chair. The hooded man carries Vincent from the chair and out of the room. My eyes are giving up, but I am trying my best to keep them open. The doctor walks towards me and lightly touches my face, making my skin crawl. "Nighty night, dear Luna." And my eyes shut tight.I groan as I slowly turn. Wait...I'm not dead? I thought that... I thought that the liquid or whatever that was would kill me, so why am I not dead yet? Did something happen? What the... is this like some miraculous intervention from their goddess? No, that

Lacy's POV The door slams open, and one of the masked men rushes in with his claws out. He doesn't look okay, and his head. His eyes keep twitching, and are they... red?I turn to Vincent's mother, but she's trying to look past the intruder and at the commotion behind. Can't she see that we have a pending issue right in front of us? The man lunges for us, so I push Vincent's mother in the other direction as I fall on the floor, hitting my elbow hard. I let out a shriek, and this finally makes her look at what's going on. The unstable masked man stares at me and moves to attack me. I push myself up with my arm and run to the lamp at the side of the bed, slamming it into his face when he comes too close. He stumbles backwards and falls to his knees. I move forward and continue to hit the lamp on his head over and over till he loses consciousness.I am panting and out of breath when another one strolls into the room."Oh, come on." Vincent's mother stares at me wide-eyed on the flo

LACY'S POV"You both are brothers? And you have a sister? What the hell is going on?" I ask, looking between Brent and the hooded man."Lacy, meet my twin brother, Luke," Brent says, rubbing his palms. The other guy takes off his mask and stares at me. I gasp, he looks just like Brent. The same eyes, the same lip shape, the same jawline, but the only difference is that Luke has a ghastly scar on the side of his face. "What's this about a sister?" I ask again, but both of them stare at the floor. The doctor laughs as he finally reaches the ground floor, where the three of us are. "Why would they tell you about the person who they made take her own life?" My eyes widen in shock. Their sister took her life? Because of them?Brent looks defensive. "That's not what happened. It was all Luke's fault. If only he had listened to me and joined Vincent's pack, then she wouldn't have taken her life." Luke frowns, "It's my fault? Oh, you want to blame me now?" Luke takes huge steps towards Br

Lacy's POV"My sister's name was Melissa." He takes in a deep breath and then continues. "She was just two years younger than Luke and myself, we grew up in a fallen pack. The pack doesn't exist anymore. How the pack became fallen...we were attacked by some dangerous creatures which no one could tell if they're rogues today, we were too young to fight back, so they took us away, and that was how we met that doctor."I nod, listening while popping a Hershey in my mouth."I never really got to meet the doctor, though, till one day a rogue was brought to the pack and was introduced to us by the doctor himself. We were basically all rogues because we lost our pack, but even at that, they treated us well, even though we had to go through rigorous training."He takes a sweet from the basket and throws it in his mouth. "When we were all grown and had trained well, we joined the guards on duty. The rogue who was brought to the pack was caught by Luke, he was Melissa's mate. Immediately, Meli

Lacy's POV "What do you mean it's about Celeste?" He asks. "She... she is..." I stammer, trying to think of how to put my thoughts into words without sounding jealous of how he relates to her; I'm just a crazy girl who's being delusional."She is what?" He asks, more irritated than before. "She wants to kill me." I finally tell him, and he frowns. He turns over and covers himself with the comforter, ignoring me.What the actual fuck? Did he ignore me?"I said she tried to kill me, and this is the reaction that I get?" I ask him, basically shouting my head off.He stands up abruptly, making me flinch backwards as he gets all up in my space."There are two things you should get in your head. One, Celeste wouldn't try to kill you. You're just overreacting. Perhaps she made a joke, and you took it to heart. Two, you don't get to shout at me. Ever!" He is already so close to my face, and I can see only anger in his eyes, so I scoot backwards, almost falling off the bed."Now, I will sle
