บททั้งหมดของ THE DON'S CAPTIVE MISTRESS : บทที่ 41 - บทที่ 50

HAZELI didn’t even think. I didn’t even blink. The plate was just suddenly airborne, leaving my hand with this wild, reckless freedom I didn’t even know lived inside me. And for a split second, as it cut through the air, I actually felt good. Liberated. Powerful. Like maybe, finally, I’d gotten one hit in this insane war he was waging on me for no damn reason. But of course....of course, Axel didn’t flinch. He just tilted his head slightly, like the plate was nothing but a paper aeroplane he’d already predicted the trajectory of. It smashed against the wall behind him, shattering in a rain of porcelain that echoed through the entire room. Pieces fell to the floor like broken teeth. My chest was heaving. My palms were sweating. My throat felt raw from the scream I hadn’t even released yet.Axel looked at me.No anger. No shock. No outrage.Just that lazy, slow smile. The one that made me feel like he’d seen this coming hours before I even woke up.“Are you done?” he asked softly. His

HAZELI went still. Not because I obeyed....at least that’s what I told myself. But because my body didn’t know what to do anymore.Couldn’t fight.Couldn’t run.Could only feel..... And Axel made sure I felt everything.I probably got lost in my own head as the pain got worse, sharp and hot across my skin, building and building until everything felt blurred at the edges. But then, suddenly.... I felt air on my behind.Cold air. And that shocked me back into myself. For a moment I couldn’t understand. My head hung down toward the floor, my hair brushing the carpet, my legs pinned on the other side of his thighs. I was wearing a dress. I knew I was wearing a dress. So why… why could I feel the air?It took me a few seconds to register the soft, humiliating drag of fabric bunched at my waist. And then another second to realise my panties were around my ankles. My panties. On my ankles. My stomach dropped. I sucked in a breath, the position making it shaky. When had he done that? How fa

HAZELI don't know how long I lay there. And I probably should be thankful that nobody came into the dining room, which I was sure Angela should have walked into by now. After a while, I stood up and started walking out of the dining room. Every time I took a step, I felt my back—my butt, throb in pain, and I knew it was going to take a few days before I could probably sit down again. When I walked out of the dining room, it took me a moment to notice that Nico was still there. He was looking straight ahead, not at me, something I was grateful for. I continued walking, trying to contain the pain in my steps. I climbed those stairs, biting back the hiss that tried to escape with every movement, until I finally walked into my room and closed the door behind me.I went straight to the bed and lay down on my front. I guess I must have fallen asleep, because suddenly there was a knock on the door. I jolted, sitting up in the bed, then immediately wincing, remembering I couldn't actually s

HAZELAxel didn’t look at me again. He just turned back to his phone as if the conversation was finished on his end and there was nothing else to talk about. The phone he gave me felt cold and heavy in my hands. I stared at it like it was a snake about to bite me. Like if I blinked hard enough, it would disappear. But it didn’t. It stayed. And I didn’t know what to do with it.Really, I didn’t want it..... He already told me he’d be listening to it, and now it was just another device for him to monitor me, another way to get into my head.I wished I could relax, but panic kept crawling up my spine.I didn’t want to ask where we were going, because I was afraid of the answer. But the silence was worse.“Axel…” The name slipped from me before I could stop it.He didn’t look, but I had a feeling he was listening.“Where are we going?” I asked, barely breathing. His thumb paused on the screen for a second. Then he lifted his head, and his eyes found mine.My God. That look. Piercing. Dark

HAZELWith those parting words, Vasilisa linked arms with her mother and glided away, leaving me standing there, stunned, her words echoing in my head like a threat. And I suddenly felt very, very alone.I kept standing there, all alone, in this room full of people who talked like they were scheming. Because why would people whisper unless they were planning something?Their conversations felt like little sharp blades cutting through the air. I felt so out of place. The women clung to their men like jewels they were guarding, and they all had this look in their eyes I couldn't even begin to understand. And the men... God, the way they looked at me. Even with their women beside them, they still glared, still watched me with that disgusting, hungry kind of lust, mixed with a cold, calculating curiosity that made my skin prickle. And I lived with Axel Morelli... He was the mafia don.He was the asshole. So if these people made me nervous… that said everything.I looked around again and t
