บททั้งหมดของ Betrayed and Bonded: บทที่ 71 - บทที่ 80

After being on the road for a couple of hours, I found myself amazed by the distance that Lena and I covered when we left my pack the night of my birthday. So far, I have driven 80 miles, and I have the feeling that we are a little less than halfway home. Of course, using a road instead of crossing open land is a bit different, but the distance still amazes me. My mind was going in a million different directions, with my biggest concern being whether I would make it back to my pack in time to prevent Ezra and Mateo from being killed. The thought of losing them because of my own stupidity terrified me. I really do have to work on behaving irrationally, which I know is actually easier said than done. However, it could potentially save me from unnecessary pain and heartache in the long run.Instead, I am spending my time wondering about everything. I wondered how Alpha Riker would react to everything that happened the night of my birthday. Would I be in trouble for rejecting my fated ma

I could sense that I was getting close to the pack borders, and my anxiety was skyrocketing. I was dreading having to face Tyler, and even more so, I was anxious about facing Alpha Riker. But more than that, I hope I have managed to at least make it back in time to save Ezra and Mateo from being killed. I don’t think I could ever forgive myself if they lost their lives from checking on my well-being. As soon as I crossed a bridge, I realized that it must have been over the river that I had frequented often throughout my life. I was immediately bombarded through the mind-link ‘Vanessa? Is that you? Have you come home, my girl?’ my father’s voice came through first. Tears instantly welled in my eyes and began spilling down my face. I didn’t realize until this moment how much I have missed his voice. ‘Yes, Daddy. It’s me,’ I replied. ‘Vanessa, please report to the pack house immediately,’ Alpha Riker's voice came next. ‘Yes, Alpha. I will be there right away,’ I replied as a sick fe

What in the fuck happened? How in the hell did I end up here? I glanced around and realized that I was lying on the opposite side of the road from my truck, and I could hear the cell phone ringing incessantly. That thing is annoying; it’s no wonder we only use phones while traveling.I rolled to my hands and knees and pushed up from the ground. However, I had to stay doubled over to expel the contents of my stomach and allow the dizziness to pass. Once I was able to stagger back over to the truck, I picked up the phone and noticed that I had seven missed calls and thirteen missed text messages. When I opened up the messages, I noticed that they are all from Gamma Dingo, and there was an increase in urgency as they progressed. When I hit send on the call button, he answered right away. “Tyler, have you been in a wreck? Do you need me to send out assistance?” he questioned immediately.“I’m fine. The air went out on the truck, and I got a little distracted trying to make it come back o

Being back in my old room is very strange to say the least. I thought that being home would hold some nostalgia, but it doesn’t. I must admit that it was nice to put on my own clothes, though. My parents asked a lot of questions at dinner, and I tried to keep my responses vague. I haven’t dared to explain that I spent the last week in a vampire nest. And I definitely don’t know how to explain that I had sex with all three of them, over and over, willingly. My mother seemed to be the most persistent in pursuing answers, and for once, she listened to my father when he told her that I would speak when I was ready. He did ask if I would be rejoining warrior training tomorrow so that I would be prepared for the ascension ceremony on the night of the super blue moon. He said that even though I had rejected Tyler, Alpha Riker said that I was still able to ascend to my rightful place in the pack that night. I am grateful for the concession, but I find myself questioning if that is even wha

“Once we get close to my pack’s territory, you’re gonna have to duck down and hide. I will drive you to my place right away, and then I will go turn in my truck. I have to go see my Alpha about an important matter after that, and then I will be back,” I explained as Cami and I drove back to The Great Spirit Moon Pack territory. “Okay. The Alpha is like the leader of the werewolves. Like the king of the wolves, right?” Cami asked. “Yes, he is the leader. No, not the king. We actually have an Alpha King. I am surprised that you are okay with all of this,” I commented, glancing to the side to look at the human. “Why? It is a big world out there. It would be naive for me to believe that humans are the only ones out there. Besides, I feel like I already knew that before I lost my memory,” she confessed. I don’t really care one way or the other what she believes; I am looking forward to using the human to get revenge. Unfortunately, last night was the only opportunity to use sex with th
