Gina’s POV Roland drove me home in silence. The city lights passed by outside the window, but my mind was still on the stage, the screen, and that final number. Everything felt unreal, like I might wake up at any moment. When the car stopped in front of my apartment building, I finally took a deep breath. “We are here,” Roland announced. Before I could even open the door, I saw my mother. She was standing outside the building, as if she had been waiting for a long time. “Mum?” I froze in place. “What are you doing outside?” She smiled when she saw me, the kind of smile that always made my chest tighten. “You’re home,” she said gently. “Come, the food will get cold.” My mind went blank.
